My name is Michael DiFrietus a Father a Husband a Musician a Plumber in this order is how i live my life.I have been playing music since i have been 14 years young.taught myself how to play guitar listening to the sex pistols, dokken,the first two bands i could handle.from there it took off whatever i listened to i immitated i went punk rock and metal and new wave well what we used to call new wave and mod always have loved music lyrics there was a time that i sat next to a cassette player listening to the end of the world by r.e.m and kept pausing and rewinding pausing and rewinding to write down all the lyrics there are some of you out there that can relate. I taught myself how to sing at the ripe age of twelve hanging out with the older kids on 9th street west babylon NEW YORK singing along to music on the radio and smoking my first cigarettes that i did get sick from.that eventually went away...still trying to kick the habit.Skateboarding was my first true love that did come before the guitar i thought i was going to be a pro but i wasnt good enough for that but i still to this day follow the sport still get on and push ollie still subscribe to thrasher mag still hear a song sometimes and say to myself damn that would be a great video part sound clip.still look for waxed curbs and nice handrails still sport skate shoes and t shirts some things never die.I lived the Suicidal Tendencies song institutionalized when i was 15 years young i was mike and i was living in an institution upstate new york named Berkshire Farms 18 months of my life i spent there.ive been to SIX high schools due to my angst and rebellion as a teenager.I made some friends along the way props to Larry Howard,Eddie Murphy,CHET R.I.P.,most recently Mike Saxon,Howard Drummond,Scot Lade.most everyone else i know well thats just it i know of or a little bit about and thats ok with me.Theres only so much room or time you have on a day to day to become to involved.A simple hi how are you is usually good enough and lets people know you care and they have a place in this universe and they have been counted.Music has always carried me through the good bad+evil times in my life.Thats why I write what i can its the one chain that can never break for me.
