Not Your Average Chick

The first step to getting the things you want out of life is to decide what you want.

About Me

What do you want to know?I am cute, smart, funny ... did I say confident? Courtesy of the Zodiac, I have an obsession with cleanliness and organization. Yes, I have a Type A personality, but I love to laugh, so I tend to look at the lighter side of things whenever possible. I am thankful for every aspect of my life and try to appreciate every day I am given.

My Interests

I love to travel and experience new things. I recently received my passport, which opens the door to endless possibilities. Now I just have to find someone to join me on my adventures. Like many women, I have a passion for shopping. I work hard for my fortune, so I figure I should work just as hard at spending it.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who can make me laugh, keep me smiling or teach me something about life. img src="http://www.yourspacenow.com/img/myspace-icons-friends17 .gif"

Music:

I like pretty much any kind of music except Country. I mostly listen to Hip Hop and R & B. Sometimes I like to regress back to my teenage years and listen to hits from the 80s and early 90s.

Movies:

I generally like drama and high-suspense type films. I also like comedies, and of course what is traditionally known as "chick-flicks." My all-time favorite movie is LOVE & BASKETBALL. I can't count the number of times I have watched that movie. BROWN SUGAR and THE NOTEBOOK are tied for second place. What can I say? I'm a sucker for movies that let the girl be with who she loved from the beginning.

Television:

Anyone who knows me can tell you my favorite show is Law & Order. That is pretty much the only show I have recorded on my DVR. I watch the Food Network from time to time as well, but I would rather be reading a book than sitting in front of a television set.

Books:

I just finished Running With Scissors, which was a very odd read but kept me turning the page until the end. Now I have to see the movie. Usually, I am too busy to read much. When I do have time to read more than a magazine article or two, I like to read Mysteries and Thrillers. Romance and Fantasy materials don't interest me.

Heroes:

My mom for raising her and my sister on her own. We turned out pretty good...especially me. lol..
