PICTURE:ME, i am a kind-hearted person, very easy to talk to also! I am curRently single and i'm just having fun! and tryna live life right because people dieing wrong!She's not your average teenager, she's very different. She loves to sing! For her sixth birthday she was asked what did she want. She said, "I want to sing on the choir!" Because you had to be at least six to sing on the choir. So when she turned six, she began singing, attending a church called St.Lukes UFW Baptist Church located in Connecticut, on the junior choir. There is where she found her singing abilities! Tete then begin to branch out and sing at other occasions. School was another place where she started to show her gifts! Also weddings! The first wedding she sung at was in the sixth grade. Her teacher at the time (Ms.Webster)was getting married and Tete sung Monica, "For you I will." Eighth grade year she sung at her graduation "I believe," by an unknown artist. Freshmen year she had join the school choir, but it didn't work out so well! Sophmore year, she sung at the "Black History Program, "O How I Love Jesus." Her peers always heard of her being able to sing, but some didnt have the opportunity to listen to her, but they did that day and were they pleased. She stated, "That was the best feeling in the world, when your friends and classmates enjoy you." Over the years, Tete started to train her voice by herself, getting help from others who attended her church at the time, and really started to focus on her talents. At the age of fifteen, February '06 she went to school like any other normal day. Out of no where her cousin/background dancer Mykia came and rushed her out of class telling her that she had signed her up for an audition that was being held in the auditorium. Tete being herself was like, "I don't have a song, what am I going to sing?" Park City Dreams were going to all different kinds of schools (High Schools and Colleges) through out Connecticut; over 5,000 people were involved. Out of the 5,000 people, only 25 were chosen! Park City Dreams Round 1 was on March 11, 2006, at New Vision International Ministries CT. During Round 1, fifteen people were cut, dropped, sent home. Not Tete though, she made it to the next round (also Nathan Polite, Kim Pettway, Joshua Brown, Kelly, Fredrina, Jasmine,Kadia, and another name haven't been notified yet). This was no ordinary competition though, they put the Top 10 to work! They sung at Bus Stations, Train Stations, stores building promotion for their next round throughout Connecticut. They were on the Radio station WDJZ 1530 am almost every Saturday during the time! So then a month later on April 15, 2006, at the same location, Round 2 had taken place leaving only 5 contestants in the competition and 5 were sent home! Tete, Nathan, Kim, Kelly and Kadia were the Top 5 contestants who had made it to the next round. It was just getting to the good part of the competition, all five the other contestants were given their own producers and was to have a complete show ready for the next show-down! Judges were judging on everything you can think of: appearance, vocals, and production of your show! IT was hard for the next month and a half, Tete was working hard with her producers, Junior & Janene Fountain of Gods Generation and J-Maul, day-in and day-out. The Final Showdown took place on June 10th, 2006. The competition was a real competition. No one knew who was going when! When they started to call runner-ups! Tete felt her entire life flashing before her. "Fifth place: Nathan, fourth place Kelly, third place, Kim, second place, Kadia, and last but not least FIRST PLACE, TRANISHA." The crowd cheers were so overwhelming. Tete said,"Never in my life, have I ever been so happy! This is the beginning of my career, I'm finally beginning to take my footsteps closer to my dream!" That day changed her life! Since the competition, Tete has been performing doing shows at various places in Connecticut and New York!
