However, the bands roots go back even further. Parmer and Pearson came up through the scene and became members of the Indiana thrash legends, DROP DEAD. DD disbanded in 1994 leaving many songs in limbo. P & P decided to revive some of these songs under a new banner, The HIGH Council.The original line-up consisted of Parmer, Pearson, Guitarist Rob Collins and drummer Dusty Plymate. The band then decided to hire Vocalist, Thomas Hedrick, to fill the empty vocal position. Hedrick was a former bandmate of Pearsons, back in 1990.The band lost Plymate to substance abuse and later parted ways with Collins. The band then turned to long time friend Jay Williams to fill the drum void. Williams stepped in on short notice,and his contribution during this time is greatly appreciated. The band also hired on Lead Guitarist Derrick Barr, also a former bandmate of Hedrick and Pearson. With the drummer position open, the band hired Drummer Clint Bailey. Clint's hard hitting style, ideas and enthusiasm has added a great deal to this band.THC are just released their new cd, "Hostage to the Devil," out on Rolling Tray Records. A new dvd is in the works and new t-shirts are done. So get your boots on, roll a fattie and come see THE HIGH COUNCIL live..................
