About Me

High Kapitol
HIGH KAPITOL is the brand new project fronted by 22 year old Ryan Dennis, former lead singer of Serial Joe. With 4 albums under his belt, including the certified gold-selling album "Face Down", two top 10 national singles ("Mistake" and "Completely"), as well as two Much Music Video Awards for "Skid Row" and "Deep", Ryan has established himself as a proven Canadian artist. Teaming up with 21 year old Tim Oxford, a drummer with over a decade of playing under his belt, years of training under Jeremy Taggart (drummer of Our Lady Peace) and shows opening for Our Lady Peace, Ryan formed High Kapitol with the intention of breaking back out onto the Canadian scene.
High Kapitol's debut is light years ahead of the material Ryan released as front man of Serial Joe. After his stint in one of Canada's youngest success stories, his eyes have been opened to the inner workings of the industry. He is not only equipped with business knowledge and know -how accrued over four albums and record company dealings, but has pushed himself as a performer and a songwriter.
Critically assessing the material he co-wrote for Serial Joe, he then wrote some 40 songs on his own; material that came from the heart; real experiences, hardships, observations, and heartbreak. "I just wrote and wrote and wrote until I felt I had an album of really good songs. They all have a certain feel that capture a state of mind at the time in my life. I experienced some harsh realities, relationship-wise and life-wise, confronting old demons. There are a lot of things in a person's life that are hidden because they're not comfortable with them. says Ryan.
High Kapitol features the likes of former Serial Joe guitarist/junglist Ryan Stever, as well as ultra-talented newcomer Khris Steele on leads. Each of them bring a unique style and a fierce dedication to their craft, as well as a strong presence both on stage and off.
