Dre Black is a singer, songwriter, arranger, and fashion designer/stylist. Dre was born and raised in Washington, DC where he studied music and the arts at Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts. He also graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with an AAS in Fashion and a BA in Communications from Marymount University. Dre has appeared on "American Idol: Season 3" in which he made it to the 3rd round at the DC Auditions. He has been featured on some of the hottest mixtapes in the Metropalitan area, even working with some of the hottest producers and artists in the area. He released an independent cd, "Different Directions," which created a buzz for Dre in DC and other local markets. With his soulful range and impressive lyrical abilities, it is clear to see why Dre is the go to man for hooks, verses, and those signature adlibs that he has blessed so many songs with. Some of his songs have been featured on WPGC 95.5 and XM Satelitte Radio. He was also heard on the Resdkins song, "Holdin Me Back," with Chris Paul on WPGC. Dre has performed all over including "Bar Nun" in DC, "the Atrium" in Atlanta, and "the Nuyorican Poets Cafe" in New York. Dre is also doing his thing with his upcoming fashion line "R2T" which features custom made clothing and accessories. Dre is definitely on the rise as becoming one of the renaissance men of the hip-hop movement, because he has his hands in everything!!
