ECLEKTIK

Notre groupe est formé de ZIO-JOHN, ALDRICK et PEZ´MO, trois entités distinctes et complémentaires mettant leurs talents en commun depuis 1998. Ayant chacun des parcours et des sensibilités différentes, nous nous retrouvons dans l´amour de la musique.

Conscients de l´espoir qu´elle peut susciter chez l´auditoire, nos textes sont principalement marqués par un esprit positif. Nous essayons d´adapter la musicalité au sens des mots et privilégions toujours une démarche musicale à la fois originale et accessible. Tantôt inspirés par la musique jazz, soul, funk ou encore le rock ou sonorités électroniques, nous trouvons un équilibre entre deux rappeurs (Pez mo et Zio-John) et un chanteur (Aldrick).
Nous personnalisons notre univers en composant tout nos titres, se démarquant bien souvent des clichés du rap français.
Outre les mix-tapes, Sur Tension (2000) et Performers (2003) ,en 2005 nous sortons avec Baza un maxi vinyle « Hip-hop atmosphère » (disponible chez 2GOOD et JUST LIKE HIP-HOP) avec une superbe pochette réalisée par mister Jerry One et des Scratch de Dj Loud (Golden years of Hip-hop).
Durant presque deux ans avons également organisés avec notre association UTTER STAFF (julien, zac, baza, Dj Loud, Dj roc, Jerry one) les soirée «ABRACADA-GROOVE» qui accueillaient chaque mois de nombreux artistes Hip-hop/soul.
We are ZIO-JOHN, ALDRICK and PEZ’MO, three very different characters putting our skills together to create our own music style and form the band ECLEKTIK in 1998. Despite having really different backgrounds and different influences, the love of music joined us together.
Aware of the hope that music can cause to the listeners, our lyrics mainly describe a positive and open mind. To do that, we try hard to adapt our musicality to the meaning of the words in order to offer an original but yet reachable music. Inspired by jazz, soul, funk but also rock music and electro, we have found the perfect balance with 2 rappers (PEZ’MO and ZIO-John) and a singer (Aldrick)

We compose and write each song and we tend to stay away from the French rap music clichés.
In addition to the mixtapes SUR TENSION (2000) and PERFORMERS (2003), we launched in 2005 a vinyl disc “Hip hop atmospheres” (available at 2GOOD and JUST LIKE HIPHOP) with a great sleeve designed by Mister Jerry and Scratchs by DJ LOUD (Golden years of hiphop parties)
During almost 2 years, with our UTTER STAFF team (Julien, Zak, Baza, DJ Loud, Dj Roc, Jerry One) we organized and hosted every months the “ABRACADA-GROOVE” shows which welcomed lots of Hip-hop/Soul artists.
