Juante M. Hall was born in Cincinnati, Ohio into a large family of musicians and singers; it was inevitable that he would begin to show his musical ability. At the age of twelve, he started playing the bass guitar. Juante quotes “After receiving Christ in my life, my grandmother purchased me a bass guitar; and I can’t remember not knowing how to playâ€.
After playing several years at Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Temple in Cincinnati, Ohio, Juante started to spread his gift and playing for other groups. He has been blessed to have accompanied many singers and musicians such as: Rodney Posey, Donald Lawrence, Shirley Caesar, Kevin Bond, Dorothy Norwood, Marvin Sapp, The Grammy Nominated Central State Chorus and Dawkins & Dawkins, just to name few. Juante is currently the Music Director for Independent National Recording artist Jonathan Dunn.
Aside from playing bass, Juante also has been gifted with producing and writing. Juante has produced such songs as Keep Movin’, Love (Jonathan Dunn Another Level), Better, He Can Do It, Miraculous Remix (Jonathan Dunn And Another Level), Free and Victory (Amante Lacey’s The Scale of Worship). He also played the role of co-producer on Jonathan Dunn’s “Another Level†(2004) and “And Another Level†(2005) projects and the role of producer on Amante Lacey’s “The Scale of Worship†(2006). In addition Juante was the composer of the original soundtrack for a popular local Television show in Cincinnati. Ohio called the “Vineyardâ€. His most recent accolade includes Free being chosen as a feature song on the Underground Railroad Freedom Center’s nationally televised show Pepsi’s Everyday Freedom Heroes.
Juante says, “Pleasing God is my focus, and if God is pleased, then I am successful.†His conviction is, if God gave it to you, then it should be used to glorify and magnify Him, and only Him and for no other purpose. It is in Him I move and have my being.
