PATTI MORRONE is a singer/songwriter from Long Island, who has been fulfilling her childhood dream the past several years by singing and songwriting professionally with various other musicians from the Long Island area. Her influences as a child were artists such as Diana Ross, Ronnie Spector, Mary Wells.....and many other female vocalists. Patti spent many years perfecting her skills, while singing into her HAIRBRUSH in front of her mirror at home! Years later she decided to take it more seriously and worked with a few vocal teachers eventually meeting the man who had the largest influence on her. This man is vocal teacher Danny Richards who saw her potential and brought out the best of her talent. She still trains with him to this day! Starting out, she worked with a man named Matty Kurlowicz in his band called Sunrock, which was spiritually influenced. Matty invited Patti to Join the band which gave her the start she needed to live that childhood dream. To this day, he is one of the most influential people in her life..She also sing's in the choir at the church she grew up in and attended regularly, and is still a part of today. Her friend Joe Rock got her confidence up performing live at his open mikes and Patti also worked with him on many occasions. He has also been a big inspiration in her career. Patti joined B D Jones (the drummer from Sunrock, now playing guitar) and began performing as a duet in local coffeehouses and with out fail they always pack the place. During her Sunrock days, she also had a hand in starting a band called Three's Company , which consisted of 2 other musicians. Laurie Roland (guitar and back round vocals) and Dave Saul (guitar and keyboards). This was her start at performing live at restaurants such as Steve's Pier on the North Shore, and various other bar/restaurant's on LI. They quickly developed a large following and played together for 3 years at which time Laurie left to pursue a solo career. Threes Company was then joined by two on the members of Dave Saul's band The Electric Dudes, Pete Pries on Bass and Joe LaSpina on Drums. Continuing to play Coffeehouse Bar/restaurant including The Oak Room at Bethpage Golf Course.Patti is currently working as a duo with another talented musician, Ed Marconi. She has also been featured on live broadcasts by local LI Music Scene radio stations such as CW Post College hosted by Mike Ferrari and on WBAB radio on Homegrown with DJ Fingers ...Patti is becoming a pretty good guitar and piano player as well! She is totally committed to her music and is always craving more knowledge and is dedicated to perfecting her craft! Patti believes that music is a gift from God and touches the hearts and souls of others and is always inspired by life and love to create songs that are from the heart! She holds her friends and family dear to her and is also well respected in the music community by offering herself to sing at local charities and fundraiser's for very worthy causes! This is one gal that you should try to get out and see.
