MAD MAX

About Me

.. ..Since beginning his quest as an artist, Max had the luxury of meeting a few rap stars such as, (The Luniz) who were a multi platinum group already selling records. (Yukmouth) of the group (The Luniz) took (Phats) and Max under his wing and Max would be given the name (‘’Mad Max’’). Max began laying vocals and working on his writing, and in no time soon was ready to face the real challenge that every artist has to face,The Music Industry.(Yukmouth), (Phats), and Max started what would be called (The Regime), a group that (Yukmouth) had always wanted to start, and they began doing songs and touring as (‘’The Regime’’) and (Max), "who was fresh to the game", began his resume.. After perfecting his flow, Max believed that he could do it on his own, so he began doing songs. Max took some time to himself, and moved to Oakland CA, where he and close friend, (Lil Ki) who was also apart of the Regime, decided to start a group and would call it, (The ThuggLordz), which derived from a line max said in the original (Thuggedout) song created by (Yukmouth). The group would drop their debut in early 2001 blazing the soundscan for 7 weeks, out-selling,(LL Cool-J), and (Mystical), in Oakland the first 2 weeks out, with street promotion, T.V. commercials, and word of mouth, until it came to a tragic end. The C.E.O of (Regime Records) (Big Ki) was facing jail time and the project fell apart. After the (Thugglordz) project fell, (selling a total of 8,000 copies in the few weeks it was promoted), Max began getting solo deals..Starting with (Lonnie Simmons) (owner of Gap Band) Max began his solo debut. His first album would be called (Smokin And Rollin) which ended up being shelved because of company merges. He also has a second solo album, (Take Them Clothes Off) which was a product of (Wea/M.J.S) that hit the Digital shelf in June 2006..Now Max is apart of a group that he created called (3rd Bregade) which consists of him and long time friend (Ahmad’’Modist’’Chatman) and to tell the truth, (3rd Bregade) is for real…. Since that, Max has moved up the ladder to work with various artists such as, (E-40), (Bosko),(Rick Roc), (Tha Dogg Pound), (Nate Dogg), (Warren G), (Snoop Dogg), (Redman), (Scareface), (Puff Daddy), (Charlie Wilson), and many more.
