About Me

TRACK THE EXPEDITION HERE
So what is the Earth Expedition??? Mix 11 languages, 18,000 miles, 7 years, 4 continents, 17 times zones, 28 countries, 36 million steps, one banner, a backpack and a dream and you get The Earth Expedition! A team's mission to walk the world's continents on nothing but two feet in an effort to build awareness, raise funds, and recruit volunteers to respond to the international water crisis. The Earth Expedition is a global campaign offered by the non-profit organization, Active:Water . Achieving this goal would make The Earth Expedition the longest charitable relay in history.
"I am fiercly wild at heart. I believe in giving back to the world rather than taking from it. I am a minimalist and have a desire to leave a legacy of "living outside of ones self". To fulfill this philosophy of life I left on March 8th, 2008 for The Earth Expedition. My objective is to walk 5,000 miles of the USA to launch The Earth Expedition as a social justice platform in order to raise awareness, funds, and people to action when it comes to the international water crisis. Check out the website WWW.THEEARTHEXPEDITION.COM for all of the details. If you want to reach me then you can reach me through the website."

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Karl Bushby, President, and someone who has $250,000 dollars they would like to donate to The Earth Expedition. If you're not one of those three, that's okay. Daren loves to meet new people and considering his primary arrangement for eating and sleeping over the next couple of years is noodles and a tent, I am sure that he would love to meet you. If you live within 30 miles of Daren's route and would be able to pick him up and drop him off and are willing to host him, then write [email protected] and she will take care of getting a hold of Daren and making it happen... Thanks! To locate a description and map of Daren's USA route to see if you could participate in hosting him for a day, simply visit Daren's Route and click on the image that best represents your location to bring up the list of cities on his itinerary. Then, if your area is on the list, click on the Host Daren link which can also be found on the Home Page
of the website. Also, if you do not live in the USA and wish to participate in hosting one of our upcoming athletes abroad, feel free to submit your information for future use. We are currently accepting host arrangements for our second walker, Bryan. His route will consist of Scotland, Ireland, England, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, and Portugal. So if you live within any of those areas we would love to hear from you! Thanks!

Daren and his Earth Expedition Team are also looking for individuals willing to join our "Pledge Per Mile Campaign" below to help build wells in Africa by simply donating one penny for every mile he walks. That's a mere $4 a month to become a sponsor, and every month your $4 will bring clean water to four Africans for an entire year! Click on the banner below.

TOGETHER...WE CAN HELP REWRITE THE STORY OF AFRICA.
