Noticed other people actually talk about their music and what they do/have done on here sooo....here I go. I have been published twenty one times in compilation anthology poetry books. A few of those being in the UK. Watermark Publisher is the main one so far. Been nominated various times for Best Poet of the Year thru various organizations. I know this might sound bad, BUT I don't really remember all the details, not that it was that long ago, I just forget. Have had several songs/poems recorded on compilation anthology cd's.... I have lived more places than I can count (one day I'll check at my other site and put the places on here because once I actually wrote them down, and it wasn't so easy) including two times in Japan and once on the island of Guam, but have always come back to Georgia. Scott has played guitar on the song called Baddest In The Club by NoGud feat Big Nod, and it hit number one, and may still be for all we know. Our music is laid down at Platinum Sound (their like family to us we love them) and our cd is being mastered by Rodney Mills. We are looking at dropping this cd in 2009. This is what we LOVE to do, MAKE MUSIC. Scott and I have known each other for about 12 years, have been together for going on 8 years, and have been married for six years. We have been playing music together for 8 years. Scott has been playing guitar for nineteen years, and I started playing thirty years ago, at the age of seven. We are both song writers and both sing. Our music is of a bluesy, southern rock style. My husband plays bluesy solos over my southern rythms. We will be placing our songs on here with Mike Cansler on drums (www.myspace.com/incamaya) and possibly putting down the acoustic in some songs in favor of electric with some down and dirty blues songs, I likes some music with some "backbone" to it ha, ha........****I am dedicating this cd to my southern roots,my mama, my kin from her side, and every other southerner out there.(though I hope people from all over can relate) Down here, music isn't "something you DO", it's a way of life, a way of communicating and cataloging parts of our life and heritage, bringing your guitar to hang out with friends is the way we "visit" with each other. I only wish that my grandaddy was here to play mandolin on the cd, and my grandma to burn those piano keys slap up(her and my great grandma could play the MOST intricate pieces by ear). That my great uncle was here to throw down on his guitar, and all my relatives that got DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN as musicians. You may never heard of them but you can bet yourself they were amazing artists. So Slick Harris and Miss Doris and the rest of ya'll, this one's for you. Also this is for two of the most influential people in MY LIFE MUSICALLY AND EVERY OTHER WAY, my other family, in precious memory of the beautiful Miss Tripp, and THE BEST FEMALE SINGER ON THE PLANET, my best friend, Carol A Tripp (can't NOBODY lay it down like Carol). I have been blessed to find her after three decades, and Carol and I were rollin them out at the ripe old age of seven together, under the wonderful and amazing leadership/mentor Miss Tripp, who got us our gigs, loved us, toted us to our vocal coach, Ron, and nurtured our dreams to perform and SANG!!! I LOVE YOU Carol and am so thankful we are back in touch. THESE SONGS ARE FOR YOU!!! Laid down at Platinum Sound, mastered by Rodney Mills.
