About Me

I am a drummer and considered by my peers to be a well-rounded, versatile musician with the ability to play various styles authentically, creatively and musically. I was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana May 18, 1975 and moved to Vancouver, Washington in 1980 where I would spend the next 21 years. At age 11 I began playing drums and quickly found myself in high demand, playing for many local blues artists, jazz combos, gospel choirs and rock groups. In 1993, I entered the University of Puget Sound and performed actively with local bands and toured the United States and Canada with HeavenBound Gospel Music Ministries, a Gospel choir out of Portland, Oregon. In 1995, I transferred to The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington and began studying recording, graphic design and video editing. Through this, I became the on call drummer for many recording projects and performances. I graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia. After completing my studies at Evergreen State College, I moved back home to Vancouver and began performing and doing session work in and around the local area. I also served as the drummer for the Top 40 group 24-7 for four years. We would travel up and down the west coast playing approximately 250 shows a year. I was also a finalist in the 2000 Guitar Center Drum Off. Upon arriving to Nashville, Tennessee in 2001, I began touring with Pamplin Recording Artist, Spinaround, a Christian Pop/Rock group. When not on the road, I could be found performing with Dean Hall, The John Prestia Group, Kenneth Wright and the Hostile Witness’ and many other musical acts. It was in 2002 when I began playing for MCA Country Recording Artist, Gary Allan. I have had the incredible opportunity to perform on such television shows as the CMT Flameworthy Awards, the CMA awards, Most Wanted Live and Gary’s video, “Songs About Rain”. In addition to these performances, I toured with many Country acts such as Brooks and Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride and Toby Keith. In addition to playing with Gary Allan, I have played for Joe Nichols, Grammy award winner Ashley Cleveland, Kate Miner, Kim Hill, and Grace Chapel church. When not on the road with Gary, or the other artists I mentioned, I can be found performing around town or doing session work with various Blues, Country, Jazz, and Rock bands. . I am currently endorsed by TAMA drums, SABIAN cymbals and REGAL TIP drumsticks. Let me play on your next project. Just send me the files, I'll record the drums and send your files back to you. No need to spend all that money coming to Nashville and using studio time and space when you can get killer sounds at a fraction of the price. Save your money and time and let me do it. I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
