The 20 Guitar Wall Of Angelic Sound is a collaboration of 20 guitar players in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The project was conceived and put forth by Absent Sound’s Robert G. Menard. The idea was to create an angelic experience for the audience who would sit in a circle facing outward toward the 20 guitar players surrounding them. The players, feeding off each other, the lighting artist and film/video projections, would build from silence an epic wall of uplifting beauty. After the first successful attempt it was decided to become an annual event. It has been taking place in the downtown area’s Graffiti Gallery, a project which allows inner city youth the ability to create and learn many forms of art. Once a month a local artist curates an evening of art, music, dance, film, video, performance art, etc. called Artifact Series and is hosted by Greg Hanec (Suture, Philia). The 20 Guitar Circular Wall Of Angelic Sound has become a spectical in the Artifact Series for it has developed a wide audience and is gaining more recognition as the years pass. This year will be the first one in the summer months and will take place at Oodena at The Forks in Winnipeg. Oodena is the centre of North America and the city, all main rivers flow to and from this destination. It has been a sacred spiritual gathering site for many millinia. Oodena is a celestial star gazing site and will host a powerful evening of spiritually charged musical intent on June 23rd 2008 at 9pm. Come one Come ALL!!!
