The Blog Of Shame
Shame and Skandal is one of the bands at the forefront of the San Diego ska music revival. Once a three-piece surf punk band, they are now a 10-member ska/reggae/surf band on the rise. They love to play parties, and have gigs at local bars and venues on a weekly basis. Shame and Skandal is full of young talent, the average age of the musicians in the band is 18. They play in jam band fashion, improvising new melodies within the countless songs that they play. The name Shame and Skandal comes from a classic calypso song, part of the roots of ska. They created Anti-Matter Records in order to release a slew of demos, archive live recordings, and record fellow bands. Their first full-length album, “The Beer’s Gone Bad,” will be released this summer. Shame and Skandal attracts people of all ages, styles, and anyone searching for good music and a fun time.
