Evolution got its start on a playground in Indianapolis, IN around 1985. Two young MC's came together as one force. Evolution is made of two members. The first part of Evolution known as Apocalypse representing the struggle of love, life, and religion. His flow and lyrical content lets the listeners feel the pain of every man not just from the street life, bling bling mentality, but from a strong black man living in American. Part two of Evolution known as Nomad representing the quest of love, life, and religion. His style reflects the search of every man, woman, and child for knowledge of self and the world and the answers to the questions we all have at some point in our lives. His lyrics lets the listeners feel all aspects of being a man and having family, having a good time without the violence. Together Nomad and Apocalypse styles are reflective of each other with lyrics everyone can relate to over hot hip hop beats. Evolution began performing in the early 90's as Eleventh Hour. They made a name for themselves performing every year at the Indiana Black Expo in events such as Star Quest and also at the Circle City Classic performing at the Greek Step Show and October Fest at the Pan Am Plaza. Eleventh Hour also performed at the Anderson Black Expo. During this time they began an internship at Lower Level Records based out of New York where they were part of the promotions team. As interns they began to learn about the music industry, production, and engineering. While working on their projects, Eleventh Hour gained heavy interest from A&R representatives from Jive Records and Tommy Boy and received a chance to open for Twista in 1996. In 1998 Eleventh Hour changed their name to Evolution and made an appearance in the CD compilation World Domination 2000. Evolution will also appeared on the compilation Classic Material Episode I that was released in June 04. Evolution's debut CD will be released soon. Evolution is on the track to hip hop greatness and after nineteen years together they are still evolving.
