ABRE LOS OJOS

About Me

Most importantly, I am... a TEXAN, a lover of languages, a 3rd year medical student, 6th of seven children (so practically the baby), a twin, a fabulous aunt, a perfectionist (so I drive myself and others crazy), a Facebooker at heart (I know, that is like heresy on MySpace...oops)...This layout is from GenerationMe.net! © generationme.net

My Interests

Pilates, Running, Favorite Spot At Any Given Time: Starbuck's :], Kayaking, Spanish, Traveling, Going to the Beach, Reading Us Weekly (b/c I must live vicariously through all of my favorite celebrities)

I'd like to meet:

There are a ton of people (both living and dead) that I would love to meet; there are definitely too many to name. That being said, here are some words of wisdom from one of them........... :: Mother Teresa:: People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true friends; succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world your best anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.

Movies:

O Brother, Where Are't Thou?, Ever After, Remember the Titans, Glory (MY ALL- TIME FAVORITE MOVIE!!!), Malcom X, A Walk to Remember, Steel Magnolias, Dreamgirls (great movie and J.H. is awesome)

Television:

I don't have a TV (too big of a distraction) but if I did then I would watch... Law & Order (any of them), anything on the Food Network- especially Paula Deen (to prepare for my second career as wife and soccer mom... maybe), Oprah (every afternoon), House MD (so I could learn about the most complicated and obscure medical cases), the Little Einsteins (my nephews got me hooked... such an interactive cartoon)... So, in short, it's a good thing that I don't have a TV.

Books:

On Spiritual Things... Eternity in Their Hearts, Blue Like Jazz, The Sacred Romance, Do You Think I'm Beautiful? Fictional/ Other...Jane Eyre, Utopia, The Counte of Monte Cristo, The Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Tuesdays with Morrie, The Giving Tree, A Walk to Remember, Guns Germs and Steel, The Kite Runner ...I only wish I had more time for leisure reading...

Heroes:

(1) Jesus...If each day I can become a little more like Him, then I know that it was not in vain. (2-9) My parents and all of my siblings...I L-O-V-E and admire all of them so much!!!
