I'm a 6'3 tall, light, and handsome male looking to make it big in the world. Music and basketball are my passions, and I'm looking to make a career out of one or the other. Born in Kankakee, Illinois, but raised in so many other cities. I have been blessed with a beautiful gift and talent in music. I started playing the drums at the age of 3, bangin on my mama's pots and pans to songs on the radio and tv. It was then that I fell in love with music and decided that music would always be a big factor in my life. The drums took me places I never thought I could go, but it still wasn't enough. During the 8th Grade I begin to hear alot of pianist and organist in the church and even at concerts, and something inside me said that I was going to be an accomplished organist. It wasn't till my freshman and sophomore years in high school that I realized that playing the Organ and Keyboards was my calling. I love various styles of music, because it helps me to develop my own unique style by combining all the genres into ONE. I didn't even like the organ until I moved to Champaign, Illinois and begin playing at Grove St. COGIC. I was pretty much another drummer, but they had already had 3 drummers before I joined, so I had to set myself apart. I began to teach myself to play the piano and sat with some accomplished musicians and started to develop a style of my own. After that, I just haven't stopped playing. You can leave me in an empty room with nothing but a Hammond B3 Organ, and I would probably never come out. I can play hours and hours and still want to play some more. Being that I moved around alot from city to city I began to adapt more than just the ordinary MIDWEST feel. I adpated a bit of a East Coast, West Coast, and Southern twist to my Midwest style which sets me apart from most Midwest musicians. On top of being an organist I also love to sing. Ya boi is a songbird for real, but hey I get it from my MAMA. I am also blessed to have a family that has also been blessed to have the gift of music and song. You will definitely see some of my song arrangements in the near future. Some of my influences are Erron Williams, PJ Morgan, Melvin Crispell, Chic Corea, Jamie Foxx, Mike Bereal, Stephen Goldsmith, Cortez Banks, Terrance Vaughn, Daniel Weatherspoon, Kevin Bond, My Stepdad, Nikki Ross, Twinkie Clark, CrissAnn Moore, and John Peters. I've played for various artists in the gospel and R&B industry which include Percy Gray, Judie McCallister, Veronica McFadden, Earl Johnson and quite a few others along with a few local choirs and groups in town. I'm trying to humble myself to soar above and beyond what is expected of me. Really I'm just a down to earth man tryin to better himself and succeed in life with no set-backs.
