Hello there, my name is Ewan Michael Riley. If you're not interested in me or anything I might say then please skip this section and proceed straight to the music - there's buttons up there that you can press.
Otherwise, read on:
I was born in the 1980s, a time of peace and prosperity for western society in which everyone lived without want or hunger. Then, in 1994, computers were invented. These new machines swiftly replaced all government and distressed the natural evolution of our species to the point where we are all now sitting down in front of glaring computer monitors. The one positive upshot of this age however is that all products and services are now available free of charge through a vast electronic network known as The Web. It is through this that I bring you the fruits of my labour.
Amongst my possessions are a guitar, a pair of hands and a vocabulary. With these I dally with a primitive form of art known as songwriting. Invented in 1965 by a group called The Beatles, songwriting is still used today as a way of expressing oneself with a minimum amount of fuss. The process involves the writing of words, which when combined with the playing of a guitar instrument creates the illusion of a great performer or artist. On occasions such as when a girl likes me or when said girl leaves me for another girl, I use songwriting to express my deep inner joy or indeed my bitter resentment. At other times I find that my pen has been stolen from me by a peculiar part of my personality that needs to write from its own perspective. There are numerous other things that interest me apart from myself, as documented on songs such as "Make Believe" and "The Blurred Edge" [not available here]. I also record stuff, such as the songs you hear on this page, so if you live near me and need someone to turn a few knobs and fondle a microphone for you, please get in touch.
I have never won a Brit Award for anything I've done, but when I worked at the event last year I told Lee Ryan from Blue to get out of my way three times, for which I still feel especially proud.
Welcome. Have fun. Send me a message if you like.
