CJ gained a love for music from an early age, born in 81 and being the youngest of three CJ was exposed to Soul, Hip-Hop and Rap from the beginning and was always trying to emulate what he saw on TV at the same time CJ fell in love with football and it was this that was going to make his style, viewpoint and stories unique to those ever heard before from a British artist.Around the age of 12 CJs love for music was not held to just one type of genre, he loved everything from Rap to Rock and would regularly try to create rifts and drum patterns at best friend DJ APEXs house but it wasnt long before he would pick up a microphone and explode with the creative flair that everyone has come to appreciate. As the British urban scene Evolved so to did CJ experimenting with Hip-Hop then Jungle then with Garage around the age of 16, it was in the Garage scene that CJ Created a Buzz about himself as Part of a 3 man (1 DJ 2 MCs)crew Secret Society partnered on the microphone by BROWNIE the trio were wowing crowds all over the south of England with a chemistry and charisma you would never be able to manufacture.All at the same time CJ was on the books of Brentford FC and signed a professional contract as an 18 year old in the summer of 99, despite needing to be totally focused on a career in football CJ just couldnt give up his love for music and continued performing at various venues. This would prove to be his downfall in his Professional Football career but despite the heartache he focused his time and energy in music and continued to build his music knowledge.
CJ then began to experiment with music production in the home studio of his best friend and crews DJ, APEX. CJ and APEX would go on to make a number of tracks together but it wasnt until CJ decided to build his own home studio that he would really begin to show the creative talent he has to offer.Now making his own beats writing and performing his own lyrics CJ has all the tools he needs to share his stories, experiences, trails, tribulations and views with the world with a humour, spot on flow and originality that only CJ can execute. CJ has the ability to make you depict a perfect picture in your mind when he performs because of the clarity in which he speaks the emotion he displays and the catchiness of his production, when you take these three points into consideration there is no denying that CJ is not hot yesterday or tomorrow, CJ is hot NOW.
