About Me

Formed in 1998 in Duesseldorf on the occasion of the Blue Note/Hennesey-Jazz Competition (first and only recording "Why people just don't change" (Tape Records)) and (despite the fact we never received another word from the jury) existed until 2001. Various shows in and around Duesseldorf and Cologne, 1998 and 1999 Karoshi participated in the Berlin's "Ab die Post..."-Festival for arts, literature and music at the "Alte Postfuhramt" in Berlin-Mitte, 1998 invitation to join the Donaufest in Ulm with shows at the "Schalterhölle" (alongside, among others, Schorsch Kamerun of Hamburg-based punk-veterans "Die Goldenen Zitronen") and a bizarre collaboration with the german author Thomas Meinecke (quote: "You're not really jazz musicians, are you?"). Sound-Installations for the legendary Tape-Records-Bar in Duesseldorf followed.
