I am here for Friends

About Me

Ahh...ya know. Just a dude really. I work I sleep, I take out my trash on Wed. nights. I joined the Army at the tender age of 18 and learned a lot of lessons aweful quick and some weren't the nice kind. Iraq was...interesting. and now I'm home and peddle cell phones. I like dogs and friendly cats (if I have to scoop their poop they better not act aloof when I try to pet them)I am a HUGE Music/Movie buff. I once linked Donna Reed and Ice Cube in 12 moves or less. And now i'm really getting desperate for material here so I'll end it before I sound to wierd. Or as I prefer to say...eccentric. Send my pics and video to your cell phone!

My Interests

Well world affairs for sure. As I am still in a reserve componant I definatly try to keep my ear to the ground on that front. It helps when I have to decide for how long to renew my lease. Aside from that...I guess anything that involves a good laugh and a clear memory of it.

I'd like to meet:

Jeez...imagine the possibilities...I'm not quite sure what this section means. Is it about people I know of that I'd like to have a drink with or the type of people I like? I dunno. So I guess I have no comment here until someone clears this up for me.

Music:

Well my taste is ecclectic. My prime focus is music that has emotional significance to me. Some rap songs do, some country, and as much as I hate to say it...some hip hop. I mainly listen to music from the 70's through the 90's though. LOVE Glam rock and classic rock. I bought a record player before a CD player when I was 14 because I think it just sounds better on vinyl and I own a '77 Chrysler New Yorker with an 8 Track in the dash...that I will under no circumstances remove. If that helps...

Movies:

Well, like music...it's such a broad spectrum of movies that I enjoy. You'd have to give me a genre and then I could tell you a few of my favs there. As of this moment...I'll throw a few out. We Were Soldiers...Cinderella Man...Waiting...Uncommon Valor...Pay It Forward...Mr. Smith Goes to Washington...Braveheart...The Patriot(one sceane always makes me cry. Yeah...I said it. So what?) Wow, I guess I'm done on this subject

Television:

Uhh...CSI Miami is pretty badass...Law and Order...to be honest, I don't rock much TV action during the week. It's pretty much whatever is on that I care to watch. Or I find something to read. Which will segue nicely into the next section...

Books:

Anything Stephen King, The Virgin Suicides, English Passengers, Sleepers, To Kill a Mockingbird, Wiseguy, Slaughterhouse 5, and of course...who doesn't love a good Ghost Story?

Heroes:

It's cliched..but my parents/step parents. All four are class acts that forged their own way. I could name a few other people I don't know but I think I'll stick with the 'rents
