POU PIAM

About Me

In an era where rock n' roll is a dying musical breed, few artists still fly the flag for REAL, RAW, AGGRESSIVE hard rock..
..one such artist is POU PIAM
Hailing from Riverside, CA, Pou Piam(pronounced 'POW PEEYUM') is an eighteen year-old musician stylistically mature far beyond those his age that aims to revive the glory days, while continuing to bring rock and metal into the modern day.Pou Piam writes all his own material and instrument parts and plays and sings everything excluding drums.------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------

WHAT'S UP MOTHERFUCKERS!!
The music up on the page now is the result of eight long and difficult months of writing and re-writing and recording...and re-recording. After working forever, I'm finally 100% satisfied with what we've got.
Jumping back about to eight months ago, I was given the awesome opportunity to record demos with producer Scott Humphrey (Motley Crue, Rob Zombie, Tommy Lee production fame) and engineer Chris Baseford in their studio up in the Hollywood Hills. With their help I cut three basic tracks and established the overall "vibe" I was going for. It was a great few days and a very valuable experience.
Recently, I've been in the Glendale/LA area for about the past two months working with Rocco Guarino (Velvet Revolver, Two-Bit Floozy, Keith Foti). Rocco's done a great job at producing and directing me, and getting me on the right path, and I've been at his studio every weekend bangin' shit out.
We recorded drums at Matt Sorum's(drummer for The Cult, Guns N' Roses, and now Velvet Revolver) studio just off Beverly Dr. We did the rest of the stuff at Rocco's in Glendale and then went back to mix at Matt's. Mixing was done by Kevin W. Smith (Tracey Champman, Circus Diablo) and mastering was done by Tom Baker (Stone Temple Pilots, Priestess, Nickelback) and it sounds fucking awesome!---------------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------------
"The 13th Evening" is out now! Thanks for all the support guys, now go listen!

If you're looking for phat beats or the next Fall Out Fag, you're going to have to look elsewhere. "My music is all about attitude - grabbin' you by the fuckin' throat and not lettin' you go until you hear what I have to say!"
If you can't fit in..stick out.
If you like what you hear, and want more info contact Pou Piam through Myspace or shoot an email to [email protected]
Until next time - PEACE OUT MOTHERFUCKERS!
