This crew started in January of 98. Paragon and Rawk Phenom had been on tha 84 bus line in Los Skandalis Cali, and were both inspiring MC's doin they thing. Paragon was catching a tag on tha back of tha bus, he noticed, this one cat across from him writing rhymes in a notebook. That was Rawk. Then Rawk spotted Paragon switching around tha tape in his walkman. (Yea I said tape). He noticed it was Tha Alkaholiks "COast to Coast" tape. He then said what up and they quickly began conversating about their Hip Hop interests as well as shared rhymes for eachother on the back of tha metro. By tha time Rawk had to exit the two quickly exchanged contacts to work on music. Now for years the two freestyled over tha phone, met up in park cyphers and even recorded some ghetto ass low quality freestyle tapes. Both stylers were repping seperate crews at tha time but managed to collab with each other and build together as well. Around early 2001 they found themselves collabing alot only to form their own crew. Originally the crew was called Knowmadiq Tribe, a name thought up initially with an inspiring MC by the name of Mar One, who was rolling with tha crew but then returned to but his full time into his visual art. They then called tha crew KnowMadIQ Tranzit. Tranzit dedicated to tha Metro Tranzit where they met, and KNowMadIQ meaning Know your Mad IQ. (Tha real IQ u learn in life not tha bullshit IQ system that society brainwashes u with. SOon they agreed they needed a DJ so Paragon remembered an old drinking and smoking buddy he had in High School. Paragon respected Mindstates interest for underground and old skool Hip Hop, as well as his love for jungle drum and bass. Both were banded from their first period class they had together, and from then on became hella tight and spend many weekends partying up with they 3 favorate L's. Liquiore ladies and La. When Rawk met Mindstate, he found he had just as much chemistry with him as Paragon, and from there on, they continued. One day when Paragon was chillin with a group of drinking and smoking buddies, he found out one of them (who was an inspiring producer with drum and bass and experimental music) was cousins with his boy Rawk. This was Author I. Author I soon began producing beats and intreludes for tha crew. One beat even closed out the crews first CD "the Cazador Ep". By the time the crew started recording their second project "Exceting the Flaws" Author I began recording and mixing the most of the traxx on that project. He then became a member of the crew. Now tha crew is still reppin hard, recording traxx as a crew as well as solo traxx to unleash full creativity and opinions as well. So a very diverse blend occurs in this crew as well.
