GROOVIN THE MOO

About Me

GTM ROVING REPORTER Maitland, May 2009
Having the opportunity to be the roving reporter really seems like a once in a lifetime chance. If you want to be in the media, want to be a music journalist, you have to go for everything and take every chance you are given. This experience really taught me a lot. Not only did it give me a crash course in video journalism, it also taught me the fundamental differences between print and video interviews, the importance of being confident as well as the confidence to feel important enough to be able just get out there and do it. I honestly could not recommend anything more to anyone wanting to make it as a music journo. How else do you get a sweet vlog to add to your profile? Coverage on a major site like MySpace? The opportunity to interview bands like little Birdy or Infusion? I feel so privileged to have been given this opportunity. So what are you doing? GO ENTER NEXT YEAR!
