I literally like a bit of everything. I love salsa/mambo, bachata, any latin, all DJ leo's musica, argentine tango, hip-hop, old school , batucada, not much country, jack johnson, fiona apple, jill scott, alicia keyes, live jazz, R&B, recently been introduced to zouk which is way cool, jem, good 80s, my sis playing piano, music appreciater in general especially if it makes me move(lol, but then again what doesn't?).
Yup! I like to watch em. Recently...Pan's Labrynth turned out to be right up my alley...set in 1944 (set a few years after the Spanish Civil War of 1936-39), with symbols of the turmoil of the time in Spain, pushed into fairytale glamour. i love spain. and their weird-A movies. ha. The 300...all i have to say is THIS IS SPARTA!!
Don't usually have time to TV, but Law&Order, Lost is hooking. was hooking. i haven't seen it since last year i guess.
Finished: MALCOLM X, emotion-stirring book...someone saw me reading it, and asked me why? i answered, why not? his wife chimed in...she's educating herself. isn't that the first step to solving a problem? Malcolm X was a very interesting prolific man. i love that he was humble and able to accept truth and change some of his views at the end. Finished: Tawnya's uncles book!! it was a great motivational story! real life, tragic, but with a positive outlook that you just can't help but learn from. Uncle Steve and family is amazing. I also toured the local ACBVI: Arizona Center for the Visually Blind and Impaired. ACBVI.org...check it out. Currently Reading: Intercultural Communication textbook NEXT: Introduction to Buddhism
I was asked this question recently in a class, and at first thought it was sad that my mind drew a blank upon pondering this. But I realized there are many people I admire: simple, humble, passionate, followers of dreams, sincere, honest, funny, faithful and/or true to their faith and the list goes on and on. There is a heroe in us all. (i know i know how cliche) Look for the good and you will find it.
