SEARCHING FOR HAPPINESS IN A WORLD OF LONELINESS

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.1What can I say that would describe me? I'm an old school raver that still has ties to the scene. I guess anyone that truly loves the scene and the music still does. I love all kinds of music, but techno and punk are my favorites. Listen to a lot of breaks and drum and bass/jungle. Love working on my car, and have been known to make it more important than things that I shouldn't. Love to party and drink, and have been known to get myself into other things from time to time as well. My friends are the most important thing in the world to me, but I don't have that many "true" friends left these days. I have been called arrogant, but it's mostly just a front to protect myself. I still believe in true love, tho I've been hurt numerous times. I've been married and divoriced once. I've lived in many different places. I was born in a small town in Indiana called Valporaiso. After that I moved to Marietta, Ohio where I graduated from high school. Moved to Florida, joined the Army lived in GA and two years in South Korea, then moved back to Florida. From there to Greenville SC then to Atlanta with my girl. Now I'm back in Greenville since my girl decided that having money is more important than being with some one you truly love, so she left me to go find a guy to completely support her. I'm on Myspace looking for friends and people to chill with. If you're interested in getting to know me better, just hit me up. "TONIGHT I'M DROWNING IN MY FAVORITE RECORDS, TRYING TO FORGET HOW EVERY THREAD, REMINDS ME OF THE NIGHTS I SPENT WITH YOU. THEY PLAY THE SOUNDTRACK TO MY FALLING TEARS, THE SOUNDTRACK TO THIS WASTED YEAR, AND THE SLEEVES HIDE SCARS BETTER THAN I COULD EVER DO"

My Interests

My car, partying, drinking on the weekends.

I'd like to meet:

Anybody that's cool to hang out with. Fellow ravers/party kids. Any local DJ's that might need help promoting for parties. Anyone thats into cars and car shows.

Music:

I listen to mainly techno, just about any kind. Love Drum and Bass/Jungle the most. Also listen to a lot of breakbeats. Pendulum is probably my favorite. I also like John B., Freaky Flow and MC Flipside, Freestylers, Dieselboy, AK1200, my boy REL1 from Atlanta, Jeffee, Circle K and MC Collaberator, and many others that I can't think of at the moment.I also listen to a lot of punk/emo and rock. I like Amber Pacific, Evan's Blue, Anberlin, Thousand Foot Krutch, Alkaline Trio, Yellowcard, Hawthorne Heights, AFI, No Use For a Name, Story of the Year, Hit The Lights, Flyleaf, Breaking Benjamin, Cold, Hinder, Staind, Stone Sour, Three Days Grace, Cartel, Dropkick Murphys, My Chemical Romance, Plain White T's, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Rise Against, Senses Fail, and others I forgot to mention. I also love Sour Mash, which is a local band for those that don't know who they are, check out there profile and music on my friend's list.

Movies:

Video games do not affect us as kids. If Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic little pills, and listening to repetative electronic music.

Heroes:

A RAVER"S MANIFESTO Our emotional state is ecstasy. Our nourishment of choice is love. Our addiction of choice is technology. Our religion of choice is music. Our currency of choice is knowledge. Our politics of choice is none. Our society of choice is utopian. You may hate us. You may dismiss us. You may misunderstand us. You may be unaware that we exist. We can only hope you do not care to judge us because we would never judge you.We are no criminals. We are not disillusioned. We are not drug addicts. We are not naïve children. We are one massive, global, tribal village that transcends man-made law, physical geography, and time itself. We are The Massive: One Massive. We were first drawn by the sound. From far away the thunderous, muffled, echoing beat was comparable to a mothers heart soothing a child in her womb of concrete, steel, and electrical wiring. We were drawn back into this womb, and there, in the heat, dampness, and darkness of it, we came to accept that we are all the same. We came to accept that we are all equal. Not only to the darkness, and to ourselves, but to the very music slamming into us and passing through our souls: and somewhere around 35Hz, we could feel the hand of God at our backs pushing us forward, pushing us to push ourselves to strengthen our minds, bodies, and spirits. Pushing us to turn to the person beside us to join hands and uplift them by sharing the uncontrollable joy we felt from creating this magical bubble that can, for one evening, protect us from the horrors, atrocities and pollution of the outside world. It is in that very instant with these very realizations that each of us is truly born. We continue to pack ourselves into clubs, warehouses, or buildings youve abandoned and left for naught, and we bring life to them for one night; strong, throbbing, vibrant life in its purest, most intense, most hedonistic form. In these makeshift soaves, we seek to shed ourselves of the burden of uncertainty for a future you have been unable to stabilize and secure for us. We seek to relinquish our inhibitions and free ourselves from the shackles and restraints that youve put on us for your own peace of mind.We seek to re-write the programming that you have tried to indoctrinate us with since the moment we were born. Programming telling us to hate, that tells us to judge, that tells us to stuff ourselves with the nearest most convinant pigeonhole possible. Programming that even tells us to climb the ladders, jump through the hoops, and run through the mazes for you. Programming that tells us to eat from the silver spoon that you are trying to feed us with, instead of nourishing ourselves with our own capable hands. Programming that tells us to close our minds, instead of opening them!Until the sun raises to burn our eyes by revealing the distorted reality of the world youve created for us, we dance fiercely with our brothers and sisters in celebration of our life, of our culture, and of the values we believe in: Peace, Love, Freedom, Tolerance, Unity, Harmony, Expression, Responsibility, Respect. Our Enemy of choice is ignorance. Our weapon of choice is information. Our crime of choice is breaking and challenging whatever laws you feel you need to put in our place to stop us from celebrating our existence. But know that while you may shut down any given party, on any given night, in ant given city, in and given country or continent on this beautiful planet, you can never shut down the entire party. You dont have access to that switch no matter what you think. The Music will never stop - The Heartbeat will never fade - The Party will never end.I am a Raver, and this is my Manifesto
