Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Why did you send a friend invite? A: Your page shows similar interests. It's not because "you're a wigger!", "ni**er lover", or any other garbage. You probably just have really good taste in music, books, television, and heroes. The film, and this myspace page, isn't about clowning people or making fun of them for their interests.
Q: You are a mascot for a documentary film? A: Exactly. This character isn't a real person. "How the @..!* can I be white, I don't even exist!" So quit asking if we went to high school together.
Q: Where is the documentary going to be sold or played?A: It should probably be finished first. Which leads to...
Q: When is the film going to be finished? A: For right now completion of editing is scheduled for the fall of 2009.
Q: Who are you looking to interview? A: Rappers, record producers, DJ's (both club and radio), graffiti writers, screenwriters, journalists, breakdancers, film actors, thespians, stand up comics, academics, teachers, students, advertisers, publicists, and activists.
Q: Who have you interviewed already?A: Almost every participating person has been linked to as a myspace friend or "top" friend. However, that doesn't mean that every myspace friend or "top" friend IS a participant.
Q: "I am interested in possibly participating in the documentary you are producing."A: Drop an email to
[email protected] with your name, any background info (press releases, web pages, etc.), and contact information and we'll go from there. DO NOT EMAIL IT TO THE MYSPACE ACCOUNT! In the meantime you should read the blog (linked on the main page) for more info!
Q: "I don't appreciate the use of the term "wigger" so why do you use it?"
A: The only answer here is that EVERY person who has written in complaining about the word "wigger" has also dropped the N-bomb in their reply.
Q: Why do you think it is so surprising that white kids are into hip hop?"
A: And for that we turn to Busta Rhymes: "Why shouldn't [white kids] be exploring us? That's the way it's supposed to be, you know? If we'd grown up with a different mind-set then all this shit wouldn't seem so strange. It would be normal and natural for white kids to be idolizing and imitating rap stars. But the powers that be have created all these barriers and segregated us and brought us up not to appreciate each other's cultural significance, so everybody looks at these white kids like they're out of their motherfucking minds."
Q: I find your myspace page rather offensive.
A: It
is missing a picture of some model wearing a thong, isn't it? Also, "We need a few more half naked women up in the pool!" But in all seriousness, if you want a discussion on our "ineffectual politics" please feel free to continue the discussion on this blog, the blogs.com page, or in emails.
Q: "do u think paul wall (eminem/justin timberlake/paris hilton/tina fey) is a wigger?"
A: That's kind of a stupid question (and yes, there are stupid questions.) Remember, this "person" doesn't exist, so they can't have opinions. Ask these questions on the Wigger Lover blog comments section, or in certain blog entries.
Q: "iz u a h8r" (from N**** for Life ) A: "If I don't like it, I don't like it, that don't mean that I'm hating."
Q: "Wow. You really believe that non-sense? Look at Detroit and look at any given country in Africa, do you see a pattern?"
A: There's no answer here. Just go and check out this racist assholes myspace page .
Q: Do you just sit around reading articles on white people all day? And are you one of those "hate whitey" first people?
A: Breakfast comes first. And thank god for Google Alerts, yo.
Q: "[A]re you mad cause you aint shit and wont be because we [white people] holdin it down?"
A: Anyone else think that the girl that asked this question was on the White Rapper show?
Wigger Please is a documentary feature film chronicling the cultural stereotypes of white Americans embracing hip hop culture. Currently in production, the filmmakers are interviewing rappers, actors, artists and writers who have had their political and cultural perspectives influenced by their experiences with hip hop culture.
