So, if you haven't already heard it, we put up a B-side from the Creative Process sessions which we never finished. It's called The Great Lakes and it will probably never get finished but it's out there now for you to listen to and perhaps turn it off before it even finishes. As you please.
Brenden is turing 21!!! So we are celebrating in style on the downtown mall in historic Charlottesville, VA at a place called The Box. I'm going to play acoustically and electrically but all by my lonesome because Brenden wants to experiment with alcohol for the first time and doesn't want to have to worry about playing his instrument. So, if you live in the area, come out! Things should get rolling around 9:30 and will be very low key.
In other news we are still writing the followup to our sold-out debut album Berlin/The Creative Process (you can still download it here though ) and it's really starting to take form and fly like fucking eagle. Can't wait to play some new tunes for you guys.
Until next time.
Pete

News flash! Bill owner of Flightplan Records found in Zoo!
Holy shit!
what a fucktard!
January 28, 2009 (morning)
Duuuuuudddddddessss...there's another band named memorial now. They are metal though and their pictures are scary. But we're from the fist city. Number 1 in murder a few years back. We all have been known to carry heat. So, we are going to peacefully coexist for now as the clashing of two such heavy hard-hitting bands could result in crazy shit.
Anyway, this past weekend was so fun. Despite the cold-ass weather we had a blast playing and seeing old and new friends. We are playing this Saturday night at The Camel in Richmond...we think. It will surely be an intimate show as most people (i.e. people who aren't reading this) don't know about it. So, you'll have some room to breath while watching.
Come out!

January 9, 2009,
What's up people's. We are demoing new songs about different shit that we are into like outerspace, making fun of Billy, who can drink the most High Life and still play his instrument and how fucking dirty could a recording studio get? You have no idea!
Anyway, thus far we've recorded four songs and they are titled:
1. Mile High City
2. Beyond the Beyonds
3. B+, for you sir!
4. Opener
We'll finish up this weekend and then we'll play some of them live and maybe you'll come see us on this little weekend tour we are doing with Red Collar and maybe you'll dig them, maybe you won't. Either way, we will interact and it will be cool.

I'm playing hooky today. I'm taking day to not only smell the roses but also to relax alongside them. We are going to play a show with some new friends (or soon to be new friends) at the Artist Underground in Richmond. I think the sound will be so, so... but it will be something to see and enjoy. Art as life man! Here's the flyer. We are going to try to play some new tracks we are recording next month at the show to see how they feel. Stretch their legs a bit as they say. Anyway, hope to see you all there.

In case you haven't already checked out our music, you can purchase it track by track here:
I'm writing from the west coast at the moment, specifically Hollywood, CA. I came out here to enjoy some chai tea, body massages, traffic, actors and more actors, surf, sunshine, more traffic, etc etc. It's been lovely but i must return to the east coast where it's cold and the building are made out of brick.

Hey, so if you paypaled us, you are in the good, if you haven't, you are too late, the LP's are now SOLD OUT on our end (we're going to keep a handful of copies for shows). I will mail these suckers out next week. I know...that's a slow turnaround time. Deal with it.
Oh, pressing info:
1,000 covers
500 records:
-200 yellow
-200 white
-100 black
What should we do with the remaining covers? firewood?
November 2, 2008
Well, we are down to less than twenty records left. Order one from us and we'll write all over it whatever you want us to write. Billy is really good at drawing penis's and hearts so if you want one of those he'll hook it up. That's one of a kind man!
Order one from now. Do it now.October 31, 2008
I hope you have your costume ready for this evening. I know we do as Halloween is the shit. It's even cooler that it's on a Friday. I remember getting so psyched to go to school on halloween and show off my costume. I was a ninja for like 4 years straight. I really liked ninjas. I liked that they were quite and honorable but would slice your ass into pretty little pieces of tofu and broccoli if you tried to step up. Plus, they could do it silently...sweet.
Anyway, help us win a $1000 so we can pay to record our next 7". I swear to god if we win, we'll give the record away for free.
It's free to enter and fairly lame, but who cares.
October 22, 2008
Yo, if you still haven't decided to check out the new record. Read a couple of reviews first. It'll be like buying a toaster oven!

Review 2
Stay tuned we'll try to post some more...but how much convincing do you need? Only 500 records in existence ever. It's like a micro-release or something.

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench. A long plastic hallway where pimps and thieves run free and good men die like dogs. There is also a negative side."
- Hunter S Thompson
Nonetheless, this past Friday was a blast. Thanks to all who attended. The show ended up selling out! Make sure to check out our friends in Autocue, another awesome RVA band. See you next time.

Has anyone received the LP yet? They are shipping according to Flightplan Records.
We are going to be playing a show September 19th in Richmond VA @ The Camel to celebrate this. Vinyl, CD's and Billy's body will all be for sale. Please come out. It's a cool little venue and we would love to meet all the people that have been asking us about playing, etc.
July 8, 2008
Well I nearly blew both my hands off this fourth of July. Shooting off fireworks is like having unprotected sex with the stranger at the end of the bar. You never really know what you are going to get. I mean the label says "Chinese New Year" and maybe you are expecting a sparkler show whereas you get concussion-style explosives shooting off in your alley.
Anyway, I can run fast so I'm okay.
Did I mention James our new drummer? He is our f*&king booooy. We are writing some new songs, rehearsing the old ones, getting ready to get friendly with your ears. We'll be ready soon. We'll be in a big white van plowing down the road listening to Damaged (the album) getting ready to destroy your eardrums in your hometown.
Stay tuned sons!

May 9, 2008
So maybe you need some convincing to check out this split release? This is some good convincing. I liken this review to Tom Cruise (why the hell are we always talking about Tom Cruise you ask...) going on "Inside the Actor's Studio"...but we'll take a soft pitch just like anyone else.
Check it!
April 29, 2008
Well, there has been some sort of mix-up at the pressing plant with labels. For those of you who pre-ordered the record (and we are told this is many of you) it might be a little longer than expected due to this setback as we want everything to be just right.
If you are around Richmond, a week from this Thursday Pete is playing acoustically with The Mason Bros. @ The Camel. Check out the flyer below. Should be dope.
Also, today is the official release date of the elemae/memorial/soon split in the states. Check it out if you haven't. Definitely very cool.

February 5th, 2008
Is anyone else annoyed by the way that February is spelled. I mean, what the fuck? Feb-ru-ary...sounds like my 3-year-old cousin trying to sound it out. When they were deciding which letters to use did they leave that shit up to some Tom-Cruise-type that was too busy thinking about how space aliens impregnated the soil just so he could knock up Katie Holmes? That man needs to realize that even if John Travolta tried to make a movie about it, that shit still isn't helping his dislexia. Anyhow, shit looks like somebody was playing a practical joke... Just back from a long drive to the Big Apple; it was a damn good time though. Happy birthday Michelle. So nice to play your town. We enjoyed it immensely.
