Hi everyone.... I'm Pam, and a Boxer Lover, we have 5 Boxers + 1, in our home. And they pretty much RULE the ROOST as it where.
I sometimes fall into a Boxers' life that is in need of a furever home, and that happened yesterday. A friend came across Bonnie the Boxer on the Sherman Animal Shelters website, that's Sherman, Grayson County, Texas. Well needless to say Bonnie is as of yesterday( her last day of safety in the shelter) is now living with Us and Our Boxers, until her Furever home can be found. Bonnie's family moved, and could not take her with them, she is dog, cat,kid friendly according to the shelter. We have tested the dog and cat part, and that is true, she is fine with our Boxers, and my sisters' Boston Terrier, who just had to get all up in Bonnies face. Bonnie likes to sniff and check out the cats. I haven't been able to test the kid friendly part yet. I'm hoping to do that once I have her completely vetted Thursday. Bonnie was already spayed, and is such a sweet, calm young lady ( 3 to 4 yrs of age), doesn't appear of ever had puppies.
If anyone is interested in adopting her please contact me (Pam) at
[email protected]. Perferrably someone in the North Texas area, we are located on Lake Texoma. Or maybe fostering her through Legacy Boxer Rescue...if that's the case go to www.savetheboxers.com, scroll down looking on the left side of the page just below Links and Resources click on (Click here to see boxers in need of foster homes!) Bonnie is BIN9477, if your not interested in fostsering Bonnie, then maybe one of the many other Boxers that are in need of a foster family.http://www.flickr.com/photos/boxerdogorama...57622375

Hey everyone...I meet the new dog today 11-21-2009....he's diff. a Boxer , but I believe Boxer/Bullmastiff mix maybe Boxer/ American Bulldog mix regardless he's a very handsome boy.....has his natural tail....has been nuetured. He was tied up outside a local animal rescue facility....apparently the story is.... his owner moved away and left the dog behind....his name is Kaiser. A neighbor took him and left him tied up to a tree outside the rescue.
He's a sweet guy, but is having to stay in a small 8x8 covered kennel, because he can jump the 5 ft fence surrounding the grounds. This boy isn't going to do well in this place....he needs more human contact than he's going to get where he is. There are well over 300 dogs there already. Plus Kaiser apparently doesn't like dogs his size....so he would probably do best as the only dog. I'm going to try and go back to spend some more time with him, get to know him better. Hopefully they have a place, where I can spend sometime with Kaiser, while he's not being distracted by other dogs, bouncing off his kennel.
Kaiser really needs a new home....or a foster home until a furever home can be found for him. Can someone please help Kaiser. With 6 Boxers already...I can't take on another one....no room, and no extra funds. Any ideas to help this guy would be greatly apperciated.
Thanks
Pam
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Nothing much about me , I'm wife to Ron, mom to 2 grown kids ( young adults) Laura & Matt,also mom to 4 boxerdogs Chula,Spot,Dot,Hope and gramma to 1 boxerdog Chico, I enjoy web surfing,meeting and making new friends .., as well as out in the none internet world, reading, genealogy, crappie fishing, spending the day on the boat while hubby Bass fishes,camping, my boxers, I enjoy shopping, although probably not near as much as most would think a female should/would.I like to go get what I need and get back home. I'm very much a homebody, as my daughter just said while reading this over my shoulder, that's her mom in a nutshell.
I had a White Boxer, her name was Spook..... she was a Christmas gift from my husband in 1999. I say was because we lost my Kiss-mas Angel to a brain tumor Aug.8 2006. We had a wonderful 7 years with her. RIP My Angel..... Momma' Loves and Misses You.... I will see you at the Bridge.
I do some rescuing and fostering of Boxers, when my finances allow me too. Since we got Spook, in '99 we've rescued/fostered 7 Boxers.... some where with us a while, some found homes quickly. One is still with us....and that is Miss Hope..we couldn't bare to let her go. So her furever home was found in our home. I created another Myspace about Us and Our Boxers....it's my #1 friends list. Check it out...there's a little info there that's meant to help....I've tried most if not all of the info myself, with my crew. But as in anything, don't try it without asking your Furbabies Vet, about it first.
I know times are tough and people are giving up their beloved pets, because they feel they can't afford them. Here's my secret......I always buy my Boxers food first.....it's so much easier to cut corners on my grocery list, than it is to cut corners on theirs. And believe me I've thought about buying a cheaper food.....it's hard paying what I pay for their food. But with the quality of their food, our Vet bills are almost non-existent.
The better quality food...the better your dogs health....the fewer Vet bills.
