Votiva Lux began playing together in 1988 and had their first live appearance as an instrumental band in 1989.
After many demo-tapes and a long period of songwriting and concerts the group released their first full length cd "Il Canto Del Cigno?" that could be considered as a 'best of' for their previous 7 years of activity.
Turned (back) into instrumental band in 1996, the band signed with Cyc Promotions for which released two more records: the 'Lindbergh e.p.' in 2000, which the band supported with numerous shows all around Italy and the critically acclaimed album 'Solaris' in 2002, which was defined by the goth myth Wayne Hussey as "the best guitar record in years" and once again took the band on tour.
Votiva Lux has also played as backing band for solo shows of Wayne Hussey and has sopported The Mission during their 2003 Europe tour.
At the end of 2005, after a settlement period, Votiva Lux began to work on new original material following a rather new psychedelic/space/ambient direction...
