Affectionately known to friends and fans as “Mikey Bonesâ€, New York native, Michael Gerbino has recently retired from playing the role of Rolling Stone bassist Bill Wyman in "Satisfaction"- a tribute to the worlds greatest rock and roll band. His bass playing and musical background have been influenced by rock, funk, jazz, fusion, and bebop, and is as experienced and diverse as a player gets. Playing an amazing 4400 plus gigs have earned him stints with (punk legends) CHELSEA, Johnny Thunders ELECTRIC WARRIORS (New York Dolls), SUPER SOUL FIGHTER (featuring Pete Loran from Trixter), BORN SCREAMIN, Terry Ilous (front man from XYZ), CHER, THE POINTER SISTERS, the "LEGENDS IN CONCERT" show at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas, phoenix classic rockers SUPERHERO and others too numerous to list. The latest projects are the Louie Prima Jr. show, a tribute to his late legend father. Shows recently in Las Vegas,New orleans, Atlantic City, Connecticut, New York, California, Cayman Islands and more to come this year. the newest project getting off the ground consists of Mikey on bass, Marco Zavala (Prophecy, Travler) on drums, Greg Fox (Heart, Queensrych) ..boards, Frank Dimino (Angel) on vocals, Josh Ramos (Hardline, The Storm) and Rod Miller on guitars. We will keep you posted as rehearsals progress, but its going to be a monster. He spent the late 80’s and early 90’s playing and touring with NY club legends, Kaiser (later known as the Bow'ry Boys) under the management of music entertainment legend, Don Arden (ELO, Black Sabbath, Air Supply, etc. and father of Sharon Osborne). For the past 15 years, Mikey Bones has endorsed Spector basses, GHS strings, and some years ago he was among the first endorsees for ESP guitars. He currently uses Ampeg amplifiers exclusively. Update... the Louis Prima Jr. Show is starting to gain some momentum and Louis and I couldnt be more excited with the current line up of "A" list players. AFter shows in New York and New Orleans, the band is on a roll. Next stop San Fransico... Stay tuned for more. Louie and I also have an ACDC tribute called HIGH VOLTAGE.Which is hitting the streets now. Some live shows in vegas with 5 cent rides, featuring the amazing Shelly Miller, this band ROCKS ! And finally you will get a chance to see the very early stages of my classic rock vision called Rock of Ages, after working this band hard in the studio, my partner in crime, Gregg Fox and I are pretty close to getting the caliber and type of players we want. So on Nov,9th at Stoneys in Las Vegas we will be doing a quick 6 song set of some classic rock that you very rarley seen played...all of the songs are monsters! Joining us on vocals is the great cris logan from the michael schenker band.I will also be playing bass with legendary guitarist Roger Fisher from Heart. Roger wrote classics, Barracuda, magic man ect... we have a blast playing together.This show is for a benefit called AREE PALOOZA, we are raising money for a dear friend, (aree) who has been stricken with cancer.
