About Me

I want to be a rockstar, a mountiain climber, a monk, a teacher, a guru, a poet, a time traveler, a sailer, an inspiration, a dancer, a pro snowboarder, a talk show host, a photographer, a chef, a writer, a traveler, a teacher, and a musician.I love my friends, Mr. Kitty, and the first sip of coffee in the morning. More things I love: listening to my MP3 player while boarding down any well groomed run on any snow covered mountain...anywhere, a productive day at work, a lazy day at home, a vigorous workout, homework in a subject I'm interested in, hiking to the top of a mountain, and dancing for hours and hours.Recently moved to the east coast and I love it here. It's a nice change from California and I can't wait to see where else fate will lead me...

My Interests

Music, friends, nature, hiking, camping, yoga, snowboarding, reading, dancing, exercise, movies, travel, meeting new people, seeing new things... do you ever feel like there aren't enough hours in the day to accomodate all of your interests? I feel like that a lot.I should also mention that psychology is an interest of mine. I've recently relocated to New Haven, Connecticut to pursue a MA degree in I/O Psychology at UNH. Bring on the knowledge!

I'd like to meet:

I like people that aren't afraid to try new things despite the fear of looking silly in front of others. Life's too short to worry too much about what other people think. Life's also too short to date republicans and arrogant men with self esteem issues.

Music:

Led Zepplin, Beatles, Coldplay, Fiona Apple, Radiohead, Everything But The Girl, Pete Yorn, Johnny Cash, Death Cab, Arcade Fire, Ben Watt, Royskopp, Nick Drake, Keane, The Sundays, Frou Frou, The Strokes, The Pixies, Jamie Cullum, KT Tunstall just to name a few. Seriously, that barely cracks the surface.

Movies:

I'm pretty much a movie-junkie. But if I had to rattle off 5 of my favorites let's just say.....Garden State, Good Will Hunting, Swingers, Clerks, and Singles. Really, those are subject to change at any given second.

Television:

I don't have much time for TV since school started but I will NEVER miss an episdoe of Grey's Anatomy or The Office. I also love Sex in the City re-runs and of course, The Daily Show - my number one source for news. I love you Jon!

Books:

Most recently - A gazillion text books, The Grapes of Wrath. Also:The Time Traveler's Wife, Flowers for Algernon, The Horse Whisperer, The Harry Potter series, Family Tree, and the Da Vinci Code. I love to read and am usually working on at least 2 books at any given time - one fiction and one non-fiction.

Heroes:

I think everyone is a hero to someone. There are people that are truly amazing: Olympic athletes, artists, professional dancers, writers...I guess I admire people who have extreme self discipline or who have natural talent and enough courage to pursue it and make it their life.
