About Me

Mike Alton has flown under the musical radar for over a decade, both under his given name and as "Mike Sucks." He has also participated in such catastrophes as Puddleglum (who played probably five shows and broke up after each one) and the Original Fruits (who broke up probably three times and played a show after each one). In early 2005 Mike began work on his forthcoming EP, "Songs for a Lonely Gong." Mike is one of those idiots that Does Not Play Well with Others, so this project is taking awhile. In late 2005 he became the drummer for piano-pop trio Blaming Tim, who released an EP of their own and would love to sell you a copy. In mid/late 2006 he left Blaming Tim amid a barrage of gunfire and obscenities. Long story short, his forthcoming EP hopefully will come forth sometime before God smites us all. And don't even get us started on his search for a backing band...but in the meantime he's been adopted by the Rustic Family and forbidden to play any instruments costing more than sixty-five dollars. Recent rumor also has it he's run off and joined his brother's band Purrington, which not only opens the door to some Kinks-style stage brawling but also adds to the number of bands that don't want him anywhere near a guitar. Perhaps this is a sign...? Now for a brief bit of whoring: I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
