Greetings, and Welcome. I am Atlantis. I was built before Earth was even fully formed by a race of people that you would call the Ancients. They used me to travel comfortably and safely from Galaxy to galaxy, seeding life amongst the stars.
They encountered a race known as the Wraith on a dark world. Unfortunately I do not know much about the original encounter as none of the original exploration team members returned, but soon after, the Ancients and the Wraith were embroiled in a war that lasted many years.
At last, vastly outnumbered and with the whole of the enemy approaching, the Ancients submerged me under the waters of the planet and returned to Earth, where they had set up an outpost. I have not seen them since.
Many thousand years have passed.
