About Me
I guess I'm just your typical young guy, who loves having a good time. The difference is that I do have a very hectic schedule during the baseball season, but I still find time to party it up, eventhough I pay the consequences the next day. I work everyday during the summer and end up missing out on alot of "regular" summer activities - But I absolutely love my job and realize how lucky I am for that. Those of you who know me, know my passion for Baseball I love it, breath it, live it. I have been very lucky to work for MLB and appreciate every blessing that God has brought my way. I am also a history fanatic, I find it very interesting to learn where we come from and to study events that have shaped the world we live in. As for broadcasting, like I said before I love baseball and work for MLB I am the Red Sox spanish language T.V. & Radio broadcaster as well as the host for a Baseball show on XM Radio. I love my job and do consider myself very lucky to have it but at the same time, I do count my blessings and thank all of those who have been very supportive in my career. As for the HATERS well until someone takes my job all I can say is "Hey I got the job and you don't! But I still love you." I'm the kind of guy who never holds back from fun I love partying and having a good time. My friends will tell you that it's always a good time when Uri's around. Always open to new ideas and am very interested in always making new friends.Very family oriented having been brought up in a very closely knit family environment and everyone knows that the most beautiful and important person in my life is also my biggest inspiration as well as my number one fan my MOM.Hey Guys,
as most of you may know, I am running the Boston Marathon again in 2008, and am raising money for the Jimmy Fund. I set a goal of $10,000.00 to be raised by April, but the minimum of $4,000.00 is due on December 15th. Needless to say time is not on my side. So far I've received $982.00 of donations in just 3 weeks, thanks to all of you who have helped. But now I need to pick it up and really reach out to all of my friends. On December 15th if I haven't reached the $4,000.00 mark I am responsible for the difference due. I completely accept and welcome the responsibility, for this great cause, but would clearly appreciate any help my friends can offer.
Having battled cancer for 16 years, I know how feirce of an enemy it is. Please join me in helping the Jimmy Fund get closer to our ultimate goal, A world with out cancer. All of us have been touched in one way or another by cancer in our lives, lets put an end to this unwelcomed intruder. Here is the link to my website if you can help:http://www.rundfmc.org/faf/r.asp?t=4&i=225656&u
