I laugh more often now, I cry more often now. I am more free.

About Me

Also confused recipient.

My Interests

Dodging jerks. Dodging works. The boy. Painting till my back goes out and the sun climbs o'er the hills. Sleeping over. Reading in bed. Recycling. Bicycle-coveting. Used bookstores. Delicious fudd. Keeping track of my vanishing education. Keeping track of my belligerent tendencies at work. Failing to keep track of either in actuality. Gung hay fat choy.

I'd like to meet:

The same two, all the time. You know who you are.

Music:

Julee Cruise!

Movies:

Sho'nuff.

Television:

Khlau kalash!

Books:

sun and steel is the best non-samurai book about the samurai code out there. mishima was like japan's proust, only with bombs and airplanes and a serious death wish.

Heroes:

Joey ("Whaddayou mean there's no cold water?!") Cavalieri. And gran'ma. And Larry Johnson, when you bring him to singing parties.

My Blog

Sad sad sad.

I'm reading Animal Farm. :(How the hell is one supposed to put up with being both emboldened and weakened by their literary pursuits?

Breakfast: the double-edged sword.

Cereal drenched in coffee is so good and disgusting, you don't know what you 've done to your innards until you've eaten damn near the en tire box. I think everyone who's never tried it should know  that...

Death, taxes, and Frank Miller being drunk EVERYWHERE AT ANYTIME.

The three permanencies of life. Don't go near the man with a lighter. Also, as a sidenote for the last thing I mentioned, I can breathe a little easier now because the rare second chance was afforded ...

I forgot to mention-

-Michel Gondry is taller in real life than you'd think and more serious looking. Though he walks like you would expect Michel Gondry to. Whatever that means.

Getting it off my chest.

A lot of things have been bugging me lately, especially following the longest week of work I've had at the comic book store in a long time. I can't quite pinpoint where things went wrong, if in fact t...

I miss being a geek.

So I've been sitting at home wiping away at every facial cavity I have recuperating from the ills, and naturally there's nothing better to do when you're half-delirious with fever than picking up a co...

We're all alright.

Regarding this past weekend: I thought the convention was going to make me remember why I'd left the store in the first place, and between running around for customers like a chicken without a head, d...

With regards to my top 8-

-because I've had certain complaints from certain overgrown people (even though I personally couldn't give a toss), everyone up there is listed in NO PARTICULAR ORDER. Which means I love you all equal...

Christmas flashback.

I'm pretty sure it was Whitney Houston I saw walking down 32nd St.-Koreatown two weeks ago underneath a fur coat. She looked rehab-ish, that's for sure. And no, Bobby wasn't there.
