Midland Railway

About Me

Midland Railway originaly formed in 2003 when singer Edward McAardvark got lost in a big train station, and his life was saved by by a train spotter named Giles, who later learned to play the bass. On their way home, they found a tramp in a skip called Nigel, who became their drummer, and he introduced his boyfriend Humphrey, as a 2nd guitarist.

At the time, the band went under the name "The Fitted Kitchens", but their progress was cut short when, whilst touring South Africa, Nigel was eaten by a pteradactyl. However, they found another drummer, named Dexter, less than half an hour later, when he was spotted having sex with a goat under a rock.

In the early days, the band's sex appeal was such that they were constantly being mobbed by ridiculously large numbers of girls. To combat this problem, there was no other solution other than to name the band after a railway company, and then to record a song about online football management.
