Hi There im Dj Gee, Ive been putting on parties and started djing in 1993.My first ever party was a night called The Funky Element.These were held at a bar called the Owl and Pussycat in Bury St edmunds.The music policy was Acid-Jazz,Funk & Soul, Reggae,Garage House and early Prog House. Other weekly nights were held at the Cupola pub in the town centre, which were held on wednesday nights,with my friend Nathan Rylatt (Visual Sounds Disco)We were still playing the Acid-Jazz ,Funk & Soul,Garage & House.These nights used to get very busy in the summer,when everyone could enjoy good music outside,as well as inside, with guest Djs Ill Bill(Damaged Product) and Stacy O'brien playing Hip-Hop. The Funky Element nights moved on to the Club Brazilia,Station Hill,Bury St Edmunds on sunday nights,Also raising money for charity.Other nights we put on up the Club Brazilias were Muzik Internet With guest Djs Danny Baker,Antony Ford,Ian Stratton.Also Rock the House which i shared with Jason Bailey on friday nights. Also in the mid nineties, Helping friends Danny Baker and Ian stratton with Groovy Toons record shop. The Great Eastern,Station Hill,Bury St Edmunds was a another Dj residence 1994-1996,esp in the early part of it being open again i was still playing Acid-jazz in the beginning of my sets and building through early garage house into early prog house.I loved the sound system down there as it was so loud and clear.This was certainly the place to be in the mid nineties as it used to bring in so many people and Big name Djs like Lee & Tim Coombs,Tin Tin (Energy),Stuart Banks,Nick Annies,Jason Dobie. Started playing at the Boom nights held at the Corn Exchange,Bury st edmunds and Pestellos Playing House Also Djing and help organising the infamous Wetherden parties. I also went on to be resident Dj down the Vinyl Rooms in Sudbury From mid 1996 to 1998 playing along side Jason Dobie and also big names like Anthony Pappa,Mike Cosford,Lisa Lashes and Slipmatt.I was playing more Progressive House and Trance. 1998 - 1999 Playing at Warehouse and Outdoor parties around suffolk/cambridge esp the Unit with its 18k turbo sound system,Great Crowds and sound! 2000 -2003 Was also moving back to my roots,in sound,in the way of House music,Started playing down Bar 3 and pestellos with Funk me. Also started getting into Breakbeat in a big way playing at Invincible obsessed Djs night at Pestellos,station Hill and also putting on nights with friend Tom Hiscox at bar 3 like Satuday Night Funktion amongst many other nights! 2003-2008 Playing at Bensons bar Soul,Funk,early Hip-Hop,Motown,Reggae,Latin,Acid-jazz,Nyc Disco,Garage & House Also Put on a Monthly night down Bar 3 called Centro with Djs Tom Hiscox,Jimmy Symons and Tony Ford. Also nights down the Gaff with Dj Sue Called Centro House Music which is Deep,Soulful,Jackin House.At the moment looking into starting up a Internet radio station.I hope you enjoy my mixes there are loads more to come,classic House to upfont House music,that will get your leggies moving!
