"First of all there was the support who were local band "El Fuego", who's blend of melodical metal made for great listening with the female vocals of Lauren being strong and clear. The sound in the smaller room tonight was one of the best I have ever heard in this particular venue, so hats off to the sound guy ! The band delivered a set to be proud of and one that got heads bobbing down at the front, which is always good to see. The band's short but effective set contained quite a few memorable moments like "take me to dreamland" a song that started off with some hard edge guitar by Alan, then Lauren took over with some gentle vocals that rang out even more in the small venue. The band's cover of AC/DC's Highway to Hell was different as the band put their own spin on this classic, which went down well with the by now near capacity crowd. "Hell and Back" was another highlight before the band wrapped up their impressive set with the sing along rocker "Rock Star", which again went down a total storm with the hoards that had gathered here tonight.
I don't know how long the band have been together but they are worth checking out if they are playing at a venue near you. They have that certain something that makes them stand out from the rest"

"An impressive debut EP from this four piece band who hail from the North East. El Fuego have been around for a couple of years and are already drawing good crowds to their gigs and have picked up airplay for the 'Dirty Words' single that saw them reach number one for three weeks on Revolution Radio earlier in the year.As is the norm with female fronted bands lead vocalist Lauren is the focal point of El Fuego and gives a strong performance throughout, with echoes of Amy Lee on the title track and Kelly Clarkson on the radio-friendly 'Dreamland'. Musically this is a band who cannot really be pigeonholed, and they showcase a diverse blend of styled and influences. 'I Can't Walk Away' is an upbeat punk-tinged rocker with a driving beat before the tempo unexpectedly drops for the much gentler 'Ill-fated Disbelief' that provides one of the real highlights here. Two minutes in the band pick up the pace with some energetic soloing and this turns out to be a very well arranged song. 'Dirty Words' is a harder edged number led by a thumping bass riff and Lauren's versatile delivery before an excellent soaring guitar solo rounds things off.Well worth checking out."
