Usually wrapped in socks, which are deliberately mismatched. I also spend more money on shoes than most men. Favorite shoes include my bright orange sneakers, which I only wear in the summertime in order to maintain their brightness. Usually I wear green sneakers, Simples, purchased in 2002.
Since an acting workshop class in high school, my feet have lived with one slogan, dedicated to them by a girl named Beth (who went on to get a degree in acting from Harvard University): "You have hobbit feet."
It is true and the myth has endured. My feet are hairy, in a strange way, with strange, "flat footed" curvatures which my mother always said would keep me from getting drafted.
I am not embarrassed of my feet, however. I enjoy my feet a great deal.
