Oli and Dan aka nobby and chicane first met on a long walk from the main campus of kendal collage in to kendal town center. this was the first week of there epic ordeal while studying for a btec diploma at the only music collage around. nobby was off to woolworths and chicane was going to get a bus home, little did they no they would spend the next 4years of there life lugging there sorry arses around kendal in a very similar fasion.
nobby was an alternative type of guy and so was Chicane, naturally when starting a band at the begining of college they got together and along with others formed the pop punk heros that were "ali bongo and the meal makers." Best forgotten, this band helped to glue there friendship in place and two years of college seemed to flyby as ali bongo, as they were more commonly known, clocked up 20 - 30 gigs in two years.
needless to say as with most crappy bands ali bongo split and went there separate ways. Nobby And Chicane stuck together to get as hammered as possible and sleep wherever possible including bushes and the back of a van for the next year and generally cause as much trouble and chaos as they could while they went threw the plague of "18th birthday parties" (which were usually destroyed by nobby or chicane) most people in kendal have to suffer to drink on the cheep and see young ladies girate up against each other.
once both had jumped the kendal ship they found them selves in leeds! (thank fuck for that - Chicane) the beer was cheep, the women were filthy and there wasnt a sweaty 18th party in site, this is where Nobby And Chicane were in their element. joining hardcore punk band "a.d.d. and the distractions" the two found them selves living together and as there onstage anticts in the band progressed they soon found them selves writing songs of there own to perform inbetween A.D.D. songs.
as more and more promoters were asking for just the Nobby and Chicane performance the pair decided to go it alone. There maiden apperence went off with the a bang and so the next chapter in Nobby and Chicane's now legendery friendship continued........
and it continued into a life of crime, and hard drugs. No substance too strong and no woman too large for the notorious pair who put Slash to shame. The tangent of Sex Drugs and Rock and Roll went off the scale, they became familiar with every hooker, dealer and prison cell between Kendal and Sydney. Chicane overdosed, died, rose from the dead and overdosed again the next day, while Nobby went head first through his living room window whilst high on crack! They became so outragously hardcore that they both did a bunjee jump with the chord tied round their necks! They appeared to be invincible as Nobby stunned the world when he actually killed a crocodile, with hs bare hands.....after it had already eaten him!
On the infamous world tour Chicane took the headlines on the first night by dressing up as a giant bat and biting the head off of Ozzy Osbourne. Avoiding murder by a very leniant dury the tour went on!
When the tour came to America the two rock rebels went on a string of offences, shooting 50 cent nine times, infiltrated the pentagon, had a threesome with Hilary Clinton, got in a fight with Robbie Williams, murdered a mexican, escaped from a texan jail, converted three lesbians, and returned home to leeds just in time for neighbours!
