About Me

CDBABY LINK for ANDREW CADIE: The Snow Tree --Hi there. I'm involved in all sorts of musical projects, as well as my solo work. I play in Newcasle-based trio Roll a Penny with Katie Doherty and Roger Purves and Broom Bezzums, an English duo based in Germany. I also do gigs with Iain Goodwin and his band IronBrew (there's a piper, but no girrrders), plus loads of other short term projects. At the moment I'm doing a lot of fiddle and guitar teaching, as well as the odd workshop.I lifted this from my website:Andrew is a Northumbrian singer and musician. His fiddle style is rooted the northern English and neighbouring Scottish traditions. He has gained praise and critical acclaim for his playing, singing, tradition-based songwriting and tune composition. fRoots magazine described his songs as “quite outstanding”. His CD ‘The Snow Tree’ has received excellent reviews all over Europe. Andrew was one of the very first graduates of Newcastle University’s degree course in Folk and Traditional Music.
