NOTE; The two songs on my player "pretty, pretty girl" and "I gotta heart" were done originally for a Columbia Records audition cd. I thought I had a chance at a commercial spot. I'm currently transfering from the reels idea's that are more representative of "sound's like" SECTION on my myspace. UPLOAD SOON.
Some time ago I became fascinated by sounds that emanated from various
instruments, including cigar or shoe boxes strung with different sizes of
rubber bands.
After experimenting with cello, violin, clarinet and guitar I found my musical
self best represented through the Bass guitar.
Having accomplished learning to play the sounds that I was attracted to first
such as the music of Blue Cheer, Cream, Hendrix/Band of Gypsies, Zeppelin, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Deep Purple, The Who, Don Dokken, Cactus, Jeff Beck, Mahavishnu Orchestra..
just to name a few. People whom I consider to be the innovaters of Heavy
Metal Music/Fusion a term referring to music created by the loud pulse of Bass, Drums, Keyboards, with Guitar and Vocals interwoven, or vice versa.
This sound still drives my pulse when searching to hang emotions on musical
notes and beats. Which is what I prefer to do, my sounds and my music.
I play best with musicians of the same caliber or better, and over the years,
I have been fortunate enough to have played with musicians like this,
I am still interested in jamming with new musicians of this caliber and in particular drummers who were influenced by Ginger Baker, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Carl Palmer, Buddy Miles, Billy Cobham, Carmine Appice, Alex Van Halen Terry Bozzio, Neil Peart, Tommy Lee and guitarist's influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jim McCarty, John Mclaughlin, Roy Buccanan, David Gilmore, Gary Moore, George Lynch, Eddy Van Halen, Alex Lifeson, Mick Mars, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai.
In the famous words from Ginger Baker of Cream, "Your band is only going to sound as good as your drummer is". The drummer is the engine in a band. If you got a powerful drummer who is multi talented you're going to have a great sounding band that can play for hours and still be as powerful at the end of your performance as they were at the beginning. Reference John Bonham's Moby Dick drum solo in The Song Remains The Same to the dragster's engine fireing off in perfect unison to his beats. And Ginger Baker's drum solo Toad. [To view scroll down].
As well as Alex Van Halen's incredible drum solo's on the current Van Halen tour. I highly recommend you view it, I have it in this section so just scroll down.
Just press play.
If interested in jamming with me send me a message, comment or friend request.
