THE JOURNEY IS JUST BEGINNING!!
Pathogen are a band who live for Metal music and the scene that it represents. Made up of five like-minded individuals, Pathogen's sole aim was to create music to be delivered with an intensity that can be appreciated by all metal fans alike.
Crushingly heavy and catchy, they have mixed a great balance of monster riffs with huge melodic choruses. Adding layers of industrial samples and keyboards,Pathogen's blend of pure aggression and melody can't help but invade your mind and remain with you long after.Created BY Metal fans FOR Metal fans!
THANX TO ALL THE COOL BANDS WE PLAYED / DRANK BEER WITH IN 2006!
Formed in early 2005 by Guitarist Ben Oakley (Disarm Goliath) and Bassist Gez Jones (D-Shock), Pathogen's progress has been continual.
Always a fan of heavier, darker music, Ben started writing material in 2004 after attending shows by THE HAUNTED, SOILWORK and ARCH ENEMY. Shortly afterwards a chance meeting occured when Ben and Gez's bands both performed together at the Robin Hood in Bilston.
After many beers and broken strings, discussion led to the creation of the project now known as Pathogen. The decision was taken to recruit experienced musicians from local underground metal bands who shared a passion for this genre. This led to Dave Brown (Elysium Shift) being recruited for vocal duties, Dave Harvey (Insignia Pollute) tearing up the drums and Rick Morley (Fireswitch) shredding guitars alongside Ben and Gez.
The band clicked together so smoothly, that the resulting sound is both exciting and immense.
Join the Pathogen legions or seriously miss out!!!!
