Photography and art, dancing, star gazing, tattooes, fashion, road trips, girls nights out, glitter, going to galleries and museums, travelling (especially visiting cheesey tourist hot spots), music, exercising, graphic design, collage work, magazines, admiring other creative souls, gardening, movies, and playing games with my friends.
I'd like to meet:
Anyone with a creative soul who oozes personality. Anyone with things in common with me. Anyone who has a passion for life. Anyone who can appreciate art, even if they don't like a certain piece. Anyone who is true to themselves. Anyone who gets me off my butt and motivated to do things. Any makeup artists, models, or other artists that I may collaborate with. Really, just anyone awesome in general.
Music:
I tend not to stick with one genre when it comes to music. I listen to a lot of classic rock and punk, but I have a huge thing for emo music. To name but a few, let's see....Dashboard Confessional, Automatic Loveletter, Blondie, David Bowie, the Ramones, Sex Pistols, Joan Jett, the Clash, Led Zepplin, the Doors, Janis Joplin, Green Day, Abba, Queen, Billy Idol, the Go Go's, John Mayer, the Donnas, Weezer, Frank Sinatra, the Strokes, Iggy Pop, and Rob Zombie. I think that about covers it. I like music that gets me moving or thinking. Give me something that tears at my emotions, inspires me, or gets me moving and I love it...throw in a hot punk/emo boy with tattoos and I'm completely smitten.
Movies:
I'm a classic girl in the sense that romantic comedies are my favorite. I don't like historical films, but I love horror flicks even though they freak me out everytime. The big ones on my list would have to be Funny Face, Elizabethtown, Sixteen Candles, Crazy/Beautiful, Amelie, High Fidelity, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Footloose, Marie Antoinette, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original, not the remake), Goonies, and Pretty in Pink.
Television:
Gossip Girl, Ugly Betty, CSI, LA Ink, America's Next Top Model, What Not To Wear, the Hills (though I'm a bit embarassed to admit it), Degrassi-the Next Generation, and Freaks & Geeks (though it's not on the air anymore, I still love it).
Books:
Lately, most of my favorite books are photography ones that I use as reference or inspiration. One book I would recommend for anyone who has ever struggled with their creativity is "52 Projects: Random Acts of Everyday Creativity" by Jeffrey Yamaguchi. A few of my other favorites have to include "High Fidelity," "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," "Sex and the City," and "On the Road."
Heroes:
My mom, Sabrina Ward Harrison, Edgar Degas, Salvador Dali, Alphonse Mucha, Man Ray, Diane Arbus, Andy Warhol, Georgia O'Keefe, and anyone living their dream (to name a few).
