A good photograph should have a soundtrack to it.

About Me

I am a struggling photographer and an artist always on the look out for places to display my work, makeup artists, models, and other artists to collaborate with. I love making art, any music that gets me inspired or moving, going to concerts in small venues so that I can be right up next to the performers, anything and everything related to fashion, hanging out with my friends, and having an overall good time. I'm a magazine freak, and I love to page through them and cut out the things that interest me. I keep a collection of notebooks overfilled with my gatherings. I love being around people and things that inspire me to get off my butt and create art. I love to try new things to keep myself busy, like keeping a camera filled with film and taking one picture a day for a month just to see what I can collect, or playing phototag with a disposable camera and some friends. My favorite days are the lazy days spent bumming around taking photos, sitting in coffee houses, or curling up on the couch. I have a shy side that takes a little while to break down when you first meet me, but soon you learn that I just love to have fun. Life is too short to do things that you don't love.

Which famous photographer are you?
Henri Cartier-Bresson: Known for street photography and photojournalism
"We are passive onlookers in a world that moves perpetually. Our only moment of creation is that 1/125th of a second when the shutter clicks, the signal is given, and motion is stopped..."

My Interests

Photography and art, dancing, star gazing, tattooes, fashion, road trips, girls nights out, glitter, going to galleries and museums, travelling (especially visiting cheesey tourist hot spots), music, exercising, graphic design, collage work, magazines, admiring other creative souls, gardening, movies, and playing games with my friends.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a creative soul who oozes personality. Anyone with things in common with me. Anyone who has a passion for life. Anyone who can appreciate art, even if they don't like a certain piece. Anyone who is true to themselves. Anyone who gets me off my butt and motivated to do things. Any makeup artists, models, or other artists that I may collaborate with. Really, just anyone awesome in general.

Music:

I tend not to stick with one genre when it comes to music. I listen to a lot of classic rock and punk, but I have a huge thing for emo music. To name but a few, let's see....Dashboard Confessional, Automatic Loveletter, Blondie, David Bowie, the Ramones, Sex Pistols, Joan Jett, the Clash, Led Zepplin, the Doors, Janis Joplin, Green Day, Abba, Queen, Billy Idol, the Go Go's, John Mayer, the Donnas, Weezer, Frank Sinatra, the Strokes, Iggy Pop, and Rob Zombie. I think that about covers it. I like music that gets me moving or thinking. Give me something that tears at my emotions, inspires me, or gets me moving and I love it...throw in a hot punk/emo boy with tattoos and I'm completely smitten.

Movies:

I'm a classic girl in the sense that romantic comedies are my favorite. I don't like historical films, but I love horror flicks even though they freak me out everytime. The big ones on my list would have to be Funny Face, Elizabethtown, Sixteen Candles, Crazy/Beautiful, Amelie, High Fidelity, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Footloose, Marie Antoinette, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original, not the remake), Goonies, and Pretty in Pink.

Television:

Gossip Girl, Ugly Betty, CSI, LA Ink, America's Next Top Model, What Not To Wear, the Hills (though I'm a bit embarassed to admit it), Degrassi-the Next Generation, and Freaks & Geeks (though it's not on the air anymore, I still love it).

Books:

Lately, most of my favorite books are photography ones that I use as reference or inspiration. One book I would recommend for anyone who has ever struggled with their creativity is "52 Projects: Random Acts of Everyday Creativity" by Jeffrey Yamaguchi. A few of my other favorites have to include "High Fidelity," "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," "Sex and the City," and "On the Road."

Heroes:

My mom, Sabrina Ward Harrison, Edgar Degas, Salvador Dali, Alphonse Mucha, Man Ray, Diane Arbus, Andy Warhol, Georgia O'Keefe, and anyone living their dream (to name a few).
