About Me

In March, 2004, Angela Bingham released her debut album, Everything I Love, showing that the qualities of simplicity and honest expression are alive and well in jazz singing.Fans of jazz are captivated by this singer. According to a review written by David R. Halliday, an independent music critic and twenty-year veteran of west coast jazz radio:She phrases conversationally, making the lyrics her own and creating the impression that shes speaking her mind and heart directly to you, as if the two of you were conversing over cocktails or an intimate supper without sacrificing any of a songs musical interest. When Angela steps onto the stage, the instrumentalists respond with the same genuine enthusiasm and respect with which they would greet a bad-ass horn player.Bingham relocated to New York City in October, 2005, after earning a solid reputation in Salt Lake City as one of the most in-demand vocalists in Utah during the past six years. In addition to holding down a weekly gig for four years at Salt Lakes premier jazz club, the Zanzibar, she has performed extensively at private engagements and concerts throughout the southwestern United States. Highlights include the Salt Lake City International Jazz Festival, the Idaho Falls Symphony, Plan B Theatre Groups production of And the Banned Played On, Mike Ditka's restaurant (Chicago, Illinois), the 2003 Utah Governor Olene Walker Inaugural Ball, and numerous other venues throughout the western U.S. She won the 2003 Best Jazz in Utah SLAMMY award, an honor selected by readers of Salt Lake Citys independent news weekly. She has been featured on Utahs ABC and Fox television morning shows, with on-air radio appearances on Utahs KRCL Women in Jazz with Babs DeLay and the KUER evening jazz show with host Steve Williams.Everything I Love, has sold out throughout the United States and internationally and is currently in its second pressing. For booking information, visit Angelas website at www.angelabingham.com.
