Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen. Then there's the ladies: Nina Simone and Billie Holiday. I like music to be sexy. So that rules out Jay-Z and Little Ditty. Strangely, I love Micky Avalon, though. I'm hard to place when it comes to music. Sometimes I get sick of hearing everything. Then I listen to myself sing. Or the silence. I also really like classical. The Goldberg Variations are my Favorite, even though Glen Gould is crazy:) Hell, maybe because Glen Gould is crazy.
My sister sent me Extreamly Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer. Its really magnificent. Its unexpected and funny in a "laugh to yourself or when there's nobody else in the room" kind of way. If guys were like books, I'd want to date Extreamly Loud and Incredibly Close. Also, I'm working through this random introduction to philosophy book and the Diane Arbus biography. I like to read Chuck Palahnuk. I only have one book Fugitives and Refugees left to read. I also really like John Erik Remarque and Tom Robbins. I usually like the required reading for school, too. The Catcher in the Rye was the best ever- and I wrote the best analysis essay ever.
