OFFICIAL BARBE-Q-BARBIES FANSITE

Hey Everyone My name is Lisa and I created and run the fansite for the Barbe-q-Barbies. This is an awesome girl band from finland and they deserve to be heard so spread the word and Rock on!
BIOGRAPHY The Barbe-Q-Barbies's tale began in 2002 but the current and final member count wasn't reached until in the latter half of 2003. The band members are the following fierce femmes: Maria (vocals), Kaisa (guitar), Niina (drums), Ekkis (guitar) and Katriina (bass). Each of them has that "twist and shout" mentality spiced with the unique sting of gasoline-drenched rock'n'roll.
The music speaks of their rosy world - and how they survive in it! Although the lyrics tell of bad men and wicked women, alcohol, and the rest of life's little perks, the band tell their tales frankly and without frills. The girls drink milk (or perhaps it was whisky), ride bulls, and their man is Johnny Cash - and they're proud of it!
Their current discography includes two independently published recordings: Rodeo'Roll 7" (-03) and Snapshot ep (-04).
During these couple of years of existence Barbe-Q-Barbies have managed to create an exhilarating Rock'n'Roll soup that smacks of oldies, garage, punk, surf and hard rock all at once. During live shows the girls amaze the audience and themselves with such cover gems as Whole Lotta Rosie and Live Wire (AC/DC).
