JACKO is the product of the voices residing in the head of one and only Jacques Sturgeon, a mild-mannered office worker by day and screaming, howling, axe-wielding rock superhero by the rest of the day. After much work (plus little sleep, knife fights, many quarts of lost blood and the ruined carpet that obviously goes with all of those) within the famed Pebble Studios, the EP "What're You Doin'?" was magically created with the help of a now-extinct species of bird, after which Jacques set out to form a live band.
As Jacques stumbled out of a bar one day, a fellow by the name of Dave Smith asked him for change. As the timing of the request was so perfect, Jacques figured that Dave might make a good drummer after giving him a toonie. Buoyed by promises of free beer and more toonies to come, Dave readily accepted. Jacques was right, as it turned out that Dave really liked bashing stuff.
Figuring it would be the easiest place to find a bassist, Jacques put MacGuyver to shame by somehow breaking into the nearest institution with a shoelace and a piece of paper. Only minutes later, Jacques came across Adam Tanner, who was at the time attempting to destroy his padded cell in a rage after hearing of the alleged plans to make a "Knight Rider" movie. After being clubbed into unconsciousness by Jacques a few times, Adam agreed to join the band amidst his incoherent rumblings about ninjas.
After "discovering" these two Dudley Do-Right-esque saps, this motliest crew since Motley Crue has been assailing the Ottawa music scene with volume and the occasional musical note...
